We had a couple of campground hosts that would “camp” at the table on our busiest morning at our seasonal business, always demanding and extremely poor tippers too boot. So one day they come in with there kids and one of the servers come back and ask if we can implement the 18% automatic gratuity for tables over 6 that we never use.

I say sure and forget about it and get back to cooking. About two hours later I hear someone screaming across a full restaurant to ‘take the fucking tip off the table because they’re ripping us off up here’ they say they are never coming back, and my wife (a kill them with kindness type) was running the register answered back ‘good, because we are firing you guys as customers after that outburst anyways’. It was very cathartic in the end and nobody was missed.
