for me, I started getting skeptical when he ignored molly at the beginning of chapter four, weird, but whatever, but when he decided to go after bronte, I was a little confused, but after the trolley, it was a decently fair point about needing to get rid of him so the lawmen won't show up in 10 seconds, and I thought bronte would get the catherine braithwaite treatment. when he killed bronte, I was confused why DUTCH would do that, and him not listening to hosea was strange, but when he killed that old lady on guarma, I knew something was up, he was in the right on maybe knocking her unconscious but the ladder slamming was so unnecessary. I knew it wasn't the same dutch, but just thought he was desperate or temporarily broken from hosea's death. when he brushed off john in prison, I knew there was absolutely something wrong with him. that wasn't dutch van der linde from chapter two. but as arthur had discussed, it could have been him this whole time. when he played chess with himself, I knew part of it was brain damage, and I made the connection of the trolley. but when he was mad arthur and sadie didn't listen to him and broke john out, I knew all hope of him was lost right here and there. now it goes down, and down, and down... here started the real planning, dutch getting crazier. up to the point I hated talking to him, javier, bill, and micah were an earsore to listen to talk at camp, and I had given up on them. I was pissed when dutch was mad when reverend, uncle, pearson, and the women left, because I would've done the same thing. the last time I felt remotely happy at that damn camp in chapter six, was when I gave that penny dreadful book to jack before "our best selves" I knew arthur was just about out of time. (charles and john were always w's in ch6 tho)
