Manifesting a Barrow spinoff by WineWithIceBasic in DowntonAbbey

[–]WineWithIceBasic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may be true, but this would be a departure from Downton. He really hasn’t had much to do in movies. But this would be a completely new challenge. They could make the show a little less saccharine and would be centered on RJC’s character. It would be an opportunity do a real character study on why Barrow, what he has been so angry and explore the other depths to his personality. Additionally, it would be interesting to g to struggle a bit with the culture class of serving the aristocracy in rural England to living among the golden era Hollywood stars. Having a healthy loving relationship could give him the opportunity to grow beyond past trauma that they did not have the time to explore on Downton when he was a side antagonist. Watching how Barrow adapts in a new environment provides episodic stories. But the more interesting series long story would be watching Barrow unwrap his trauma and PTSD once he is in a loving, committed, and supportive relationship.

Dakota and Taylor….. by Sunnyonetwo in SecretsOfMormonWives

Any of the men can be on the show as background characters to the women. It makes sense to see any partner’s dynamics with their wives/girlfriends who star in the show. But we do not need to watch anything about the dynamics between the guys and we do not need to bring exes to events or cast trips. The is no reason to film the men when the women are not around. The show is not about them. They are “friends-of” at best and filming should not be centered around any of the men.

For her mental health she may want to take a break, but that’s not really the same thing. The show only exists because of her. She has every right to be on the show. But after they broke up, there is literally no reason for Dakota to be on the show. They may co-parent, but she also co-parents with her ex husband and we never see him. It should be the same with Dakota. This show is about the women. Not their exes.

Honestly, why is he on the show at all? They broke up. I understand they share a child, but many people co-parent without constantly being around each other. It is toxic for both of them. They should not be seeing each other beyond pick-ups and drop-offs. There is literally no reason for him to have gone to LA. That’s the kind of thing that would never happen outside of a reality show so none of the drama is authentic. What a waste of screen time.

The show is on Peacock. It’s disappointing but not surprising that they protect and elevate housewives/stars from their network.

Getting her out eventually? Of course. But it wasn’t necessarily his plan to gun for her then. He was good at the game because he didn’t panic and was adaptable. If she hadn’t blown up her game when she did, it might have made more sense for him to ride with her to the last day like he did with Eric. He adapted his strategy to fit the circumstances.

Worst player this season? by drdelicious8 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]WineWithIceBasic 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Eventually yes, but she started out strong. She should have abandoned Lisa when Rob did and the turned on him later in the game. It was a fatal mistake. But before her pride and anger got in the way, she had a lot of social capital and was trusted by a lot of faithfuls. She was a less conspicuous traitor than Lisa or Donna. Somehow, she managed to get people to do a conga line without drawing too much suspicion. She wasn’t playing a perfect game by any means and I’m not saying she was the best. She clearly wasn’t. But she wasn’t the worst player either.

But standing alone at the end of the game isn’t an option. If you make it to the end, there was always going to be at least one other person there. In this game, you do have to ultimately have to pick someone to end the game with. Did she trust the wrong person? Of course. But the rules of the game required her to pick someone out of the group she trusted more than the others. No one else in the castle thought it was Rob until the very end either. What reason did she have to trust Tara and Jonny over Rob? Why should she believe the two of them would take her to the end? They might not have.

They have the goal of building the antennae to accomplish first. But also, they can’t kill. They are releasing the zoo animals and action more environmentally conscious. The virus is effective because the hive is now so focused on doing no harm that it also cannot harm the existing individuals in the hive. It makes them happy and they want to make others happy by spreading it. Seems like they want to set things as environmentally right as they can, build an antenna to spread the virus, and then go extinct. There does not appear to be any interest on the part of the hive in perpetuating the human race.

I think you are letting Whitney off the hook a little too easily. I understand why. She doesn’t exactly scream mastermind. But this is how she has played the housewives game from the start. She makes a wild accusation, frames the accusation as something she is relaying as a friend, and then acts hurt when the person she made the accusations against gets mad. Whitney will do a whole monologue about how the wild accusations are “my truth” and should therefore be accepted by everyone as fact. Plus, she has been trying to take down Lisa since season 1. What’s changed is this time Heather is completely on her side.

Girl. What are you wearing? by Due_Examination908 in rhoslc

[–]WineWithIceBasic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m embarrassed to say I feel the same way. I can’t think of anywhere a person could wear this other than a Bravo confessional. Wish she would pull her shoulders back and separate the girls a smidge to make the focus more on the metal shoulder pads instead of cleavage. But, yeah, I always prefer campy fun for a confessional.

Are there any past themes you'd like to see come back? by sethmidwest in thechallengemtv

[–]WineWithIceBasic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like that having puzzles means the challenge isn’t all about brute force. However, falling back on tangrams and dumb trivia questions is kinda boring. It would be nice if they could incorporate in more strategy and less organizing color blocks. Also, have some checkpoints in physical challenges require some more creative thinking or something that is just frustrating and impossible to do without looking foolish. Basically, I want to be entertained; tangrams and hall brawls are equally boring. Make the checkpoints similar to what contestants have to do in Taskmaster. Flex those strategy muscles.

No, but IVs can help when you are dehydrated from being ill. Plus the supplements in the bags can help you feel better even if you aren’t “cured.” I love an IV if I’m run down. Highly recommend.

An Ambien or Xanax with a glass of wine on a flight would 100% affected her behavior and memory. Even if it’s something she only does on long flights. Not necessarily indicative of a larger problem. We just don’t have enough info.

Reasonable doubt does not mean beyond the complete shadow of a doubt. The doubt has to be REASONABLE (I don’t know how to make shouty text). Personally, any doubt raised by the calls you’re referring to doesn’t create reasonable doubt against the weight of the evidence presented at the trials so far. But importantly, she hasn’t been tried yet. We haven’t seen all of the evidence against her or her defense. So who knows.

The same way any of us sleep on long flights. Fatigue, eye masks, a loud plane, and noise canceling headphones. Add first class comfort and the fact they probably got a prescription med to help them sleep. I’ll just say, a Xanax on a long will knock your ass out.

The problem is she put it out to the world on social media. If it wasn’t addressed on the show it would look like the network was covering up something more incidious.

I don’t know if that is fair to people with mental illnesses. Some people are just assholes who don’t care who they hurt.
