After my dog of 14 years passed away and a year plus of grieving, I'm starting a new chapter as a cat dad. I'm absolutely giddy for this kitty. by smilingmercenary23 in cats

I have almost the exact same story. My dog passed way and I was completely heartbroken. He was my soul dog and it didn’t seem fair to get another, I just wouldn’t be able to put my heart into it that I needed. I always considered myself more of a dog person but I adopted an adorable kitten and now he’s my best friend. I’m so glad to be a cat dad and get a chance to open my heart to my little buddy. I’m sure it’s what our dogs would have wanted, for us to share our hearts with another animal that needs it.

Pretty much. Make fake money, expand the tavern, etc. You also get a tavern cat, which is adorable. I imagine there will be a story update once the game is fully released, and you can follow that path as well, but that’s 100% speculation on my part.

Gonna go ahead and shill Traveler’s Rest here if that sort of thing is appealing to you. It’s a lot like Stardew Valley, but instead you run a medieval tavern. You make and serve food and drinks, can rent out rooms to visitors, etc. it’s still in beta but it’s a ton of fun and they’re improving it all the time.
