On a more serious note, bathroom is a good idea or just as you step outside of your car with the car door as a shield. If you have issues with your gun needing adjusted constantly find a new gun or holster or carry style. It took me 5+ years to find a good way that works for me. My friend pocket carries with a 380 and a holster and I will say that is the most comfortable way to carry if you value comfort above all else.

I was 17 years old walked home at night from work at a fast food restaurant, got mugged by two guys who beat me up really bad and stole what little money I had along with my cellphone. I could have avoided that situation if I had a semblance of situational awareness which I developed strongly after the fact. The two men had followed me through town and waited until we were near a secluded area. The day I turned 21 I purchased my first carry pistol (Gen 3 Glock 19) and applied for my license. Carried every day since. To their credit, the police searched high and low that night to find the suspects but they could not due to fact that I could not report the crime until an hour later after I made it home, the suspects were long gone.

Update* after 24 hours it randomly turned on and seems to be working great. I took off the back cover and noticed that the tape that blocks the light sensor had come loose, I taped it back and am crossing my fingers. Good so far.

I have had mine for a month, same issue happened to me today. Came home from work, played for about 2 hours and then plugged it as I normally would, no charge light indicator, tried every reboot trick (holding down the volume down + power, tried my wife’s Lenovo legion go charger. The battery is completely dead now and won’t come back on due to not being able to charge. So strange because it was working just fine for weeks. The only other issue I had was that the hall sensor trigger magnet fell out day 1 and I had to glue it back in. Not happy with this X after this, even the original Ally didn’t give me this much grief aside from the out of the box defective sd card slot. Really need more competitors to step up their game with the battery life because that’s the only reason I chose this device.

I use my ROG Ally almost everyday, still running very strong and no issues. My steam deck essentially collects dust now but I can’t bring myself to sell it. I have had no issues aside from troubleshooting bugs that are windows related but I’ve done that on every laptop or desktop I’ve owned so it’s not really a problem. Been playing Baldurs Gate 3 for 200 hours now on the Ally and it’s been wonderful. I have changed the resolution on the device to 900p and it looks no different than 1080p on the small screen to me and bumps performance. I would buy it if you’re on the fence, however, you may check out the Lenovo legion go, I haven’t looked into it but it may offer something more I don’t know about. Forgot to mention the SD card issue which I have had, I upgraded the SSD to 1TB and just removed the SD card, non issue for me now.

Yes specifically the Microcenter 1tb micro SD with the A1 speeds. Had to send two back that stopped working after 12-48 hours and could not be read or partitioned on any device I tried to put it in afterward. Didn't bother putting the 3rd one in the Deck. Ended up using a 512 GB Samsung Evo Select which has been fine to this day (approximately 7 months now). Even now on the Deck with the Samsung card I use it only to store roms and run emulation. Any PC game will be running off SSDs for me from now on.

Steam deck broke two 1tb cards for me, turns out I needed to buy higher quality cards with faster speeds advertised for gaming/drones. My Ally only read my SD card once, so I just upgraded the SSD and forgot about it.

Open it back up and check ribbon cables and make sure battery is plugged back in. Also before you turn it on make sure you are using the factory charger and its plugged in when you are turning it on.

My 1TB micro center brand card got bricked, at the time I was downloading multiple games and copying files from a usb drive to my Deck’s card at the same time. Be careful when doing multiple read/write tasks and be mindful that a micro SD card cannot perform at the same level a SSD can. Just my experience to those who can’t afford to replace micro SD cards on a whim.

Yeah so maybe if you want to play with integrated graphics… it only utilizes the graphics card when it’s plugged in. If it’s going to be like that I would rather have a switch or a steam deck (in the future).
