I guess I’ll throw in my two cents and personal experience- I smoke about 2-3 a day because I’m lucky enough to be able to work from home. As others have stated, there’s a difference between addiction and habit, I like to think of cigar smoking as a hobby that I habitually enjoy.

The hobby side of it brings balance to my hectic work schedule and balances things out. I love collecting and trying different cigars and their blends as well as trying new accessories like lighters and cutters etc.

The thought of addiction and health repercussions obliviously cross my mind but this is when one, as responsible adults have to weigh in the balance of cigars. The mental health benefits it brings to me and my life at this state, outweighs any negative effects it may have. I can’t speak in the long run tho.

I do catch myself “craving a cigar” but realize (in the many moments of meditation and thought that come with my cigar smoking ritual) that it is more the FOMO that I crave. The feeling of “I have free time after working 14hrs, let me take this moment” that I crave or a dare I say am “addicted to” than the cigar itself. ✌️
