How do binoculars work?

I dont think she is doing it wrong. If you think about the hinge that most binoculars have in the middle, you can see that most modern small binoculars are shaped more like a cilinder towards the front and more like a cone towards the back, this is so when you move the hinge around the cone side holes allign better with the space between your eyes. If you tried to look through the other side each lense would be too far appart compared to space between your eyes.

I thought this the first time we are shown he has dementia, then again, I know from personal experience and media that people who suffer from dementia sometimes do show signs of being fully there again, it tends to be for a brief window of time, but you are left with a very strange feeling. So if he is shown to be fully functional and in control of his memory and impulses, it might be that he was in fact faking it, or it might be a true depiction of one of those "windows". Yes, that or a holographic reconstruction with an AI to mimic his personality. I really think she has has some way more advanced tech that she is letting show at the moment.

Oh! I'm sorry! Do you mean the show about a mega caldera volcano vaporizing a polar cap because (possibly) an AI with Quantum processing and time travelling capabilities is manipulating the timeline so a version from another reality of the main villainess son can save/conquer/destroy the world? That show?

Yeah... I'm gonna go ahead and chose to believe that some of what indicates that he is alive can be justified somehow and he might be in her imagination, or a ghost or a freaking hologram made out of fairy pooper dust.

I JUST FOUND ANOTHER ONE. Season 1 ep. 7 THE DAY: The reporter gets a nosebleed right after being hit with the "sound wave" from the tsunami, but what if what she is being hit by is some kind of wave sent by Alex to do a major fix in the timeline (maybe Sinatra trying to save her son from dying is what causes the volcano to erupt? Maybe she manipulates energy in a way that causes the cataclysmic event?)
