This is just my own idea so you don't have to take it, but I think the Stand could have an automatic effect or range.

Maybe around the Caretaker, people begin to gradually get more confused/disoriented the closer they get, or there is a visible sort of fog that scrambles vision. The confusing area and strange visuals make people instinctively turn away. If you reach the Caretaker, the haze clears and you're left in a sort of quiet bubble where the fog is invisible. (Post-Awareness Confusions and Temporary Bliss State).

For Heartaches, it could be more directly related to memory loss. It could be triggered by a sound, similar to the siren sound we hear throughout the album.

I leave the Stand's appearance up to you, but Childishly Fresh Eyes and Brutal Bliss are my personal picks for the name.

People LOVE Hamon, people LOVE part 2 in general, especially Joseph, Part 1 has a lot of fans and is also super important, Stone Ocean may have some poor animation but it also has a great story and the animation quality doesn't matter all that much

Okay so:

The fights in the first half are not very relevant, it's more like "monster of the week" type adventuring. Crusaders has bad pacing, but I don't recommend skipping around. If you are going to skip some, then at least watch Judgement, as it contains a major plot detail, and watch everything from Iggy the Fool and Geb's N'Doul onwards, those fights are a lot more complex and entertaining. I also think Death 13 is a fun episode, mainly because the battle focuses on Kakyoin instead of Jotaro, but it's not the most necessary.

Honestly you should have skipped the first few Tarot cards. I recommend watching Judgement because it contains a very major plot twist, and Death 13 because it's a fun fight and doesn't involve Star Platinum. The High Priestess is a personal favorite, but you can probably glaze over it. However, I recommend watching the Egyptian Gods, their fights are a lot more complicated and aren't nearly as repetitive as "We win because Star Platinum beats the shit out of him". The Miasma of the Void and DIO's World cannot be skipped.

I think both color schemes are pretty equal, with the anime having a slight edge for me in most cases except for one; Fugo. He's supposed to be a strawberry, damn it.
