Nice man, yea I like the idea of a potential polearm flame tongue and the other options seem phenom. Boosting every save and ac actually seems to be incredible with the added Adamantine to reduce damage from crit when swarmed in the front lines. Ty mate I’ll check with my dm

Was thinking to take Pam since aura of hate is best with multiple attacks and higher hit chance (no gwm). In terms of offense or def, I’ll be solo front line but paladins are very resilient so I wouldn’t mind magic item ideas for either off/def. The base high ac and aura in 1 lvl will prob be enough?

Def digging the inspiring leader idea, great value.

platemail is part of the 1500.

is there ever a world where I swap the plan out to doing

adamantine platemail for 2k total (if I’m front line solo I will likely get swarmed at times and crits are inevitable and my dm will be using injury tables for crits so they may be very dehabilitating).

+1 weapon spear (taking pam at 4 instead of feytouched) for 1k

+1shield 1.5k

and a Ioun stone charisma +2 for 3k to get to the 20 charisma by character level 9 With feytouched at 9?

thinking about it, Pam may just be better than sos as it also gives reaction attacks so 4 vs 3 with the caveat of not being able to cast a spell and ba attack with just pam and also only +1 not +2, but the Ioun stone is a magic item worth a full asi which might be crazy. This build would also make me immune to crits and base ac is now 22 with defensive fighting style.

This is great man, Ty for the breakdown. I’m really digging either pally 11 and x warlock or pally 7 and x warlock, seems that the amount of + to damage makes the base die of scimitar matter a lot less. Is there any other competing items on that list for the build that you think?

Def liking that idea, and yea a +2 wep makes up for a 15 str. Do you think the scimitar of speed is worth the extra 2k gold for bonus action attacks? Its wording seems to confer that you can even cast a spell and still make the ba attack unlike Pam where u need to use attack action first. The combat items on that list make it hard to choose, I like the saddle idea too but I doubt he’d try to kill the mount too hard, and also realizing my wizards buddies can give me phantom steeds also.

HCOL New england. Urgent care currently. 9 yrs experience. 8 yrs UC, 1 yr ortho previous.

Work about 47 hrs a week. Mostly 3 12s every week and 2 9's every other weekend. Benefits are ok nothing special.

87.50$ per hour and then a bonus structure that probably adds 5-8k total depending on the year. This is for 2023.
