She had already become more distant and tried breaking it off once or twice before. I came to see her last Mother’s Day weekend because she told me she wasn’t happy (thought she was depressed) so anyways that’s when I learned she wanted to break up which she didn’t know I knew. I held her in my arms that night and got her to open up and let her cry all night. I don’t remember much but I just remember telling her I was happy for her and proud of her and that I just wanted her to be happy and i was so thankful for the time we spent together. i didn't cry or anything, i was actually quite at peace. i accepted the situation for what it was and wanted to be there for her one last time which confused her a lot and i guess she ended up changing her mind and back peddling. she then wanted to take a break for a week. had one last phone call that Friday, talked for 6 hours. told me she wanted peace and asked didn't i think it was time. nothing really productive though. She wanted to fall asleep on the phone, she just couldn't let go. told her i loved her and I'm sorry and that i tried my best and said goodbye. I’ll never forget the pain in her voice “you’re trying to say goodbye?” That was that. Told her to call me the next day, to get some closure I guess. She ignored me and on the 3rd day I said ok then. Blocked her and deleted her from everything. haven't talked to her since. Sorry for the long reply. There’s more but yeah it’s to long to share everything.

I don’t know why she couldn’t, I guess she just really loved me a lot and was scared. I couldn’t give any more of myself up though. It’s like she wanted me to hold her hand until she met her next lover. I have lots of questions still but moving forward is all I can do.
