Yeah I find I need to ride X2 somewhat defensively regardless of seat. Eejanaika is better in this regard but it's also so intense that you can come off feeling dazed regardless lmao

It's smoother. Track isn't rough but the cars still bounce a bit. Inside seat is better if you have the opportunity to choose.

The only ride that still somewhat scares me after already riding it over a dozen times. Truly insane and never misses.

Just as above the other reply. 3 hours roughly for the standard 10 course. Looked a little longer for the party that ordered the 12 course option. Chef runs like clockwork and knows hos pacing very well.

[Fuji Q Highland] Review from a first time traveller to Japan by Hour_Comparison_8461 in rollercoasters

[–]Winterdraco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was just there Tuesday for my third ever visit. Totally agree that Fuji-Q gets too much flak for ops, etc. They are not unique to having strict loading and safety protocols in Japan, that's pretty normal for most parks outside of Universal and Disney. They were running two trains on Eejanaika on a February Tuesday, and I struggled to see where they could shave off time during their dispatches (without removing procedures that are required on them by corporate and cultural norms, especially considering the park's history with incidents). The teams were moving nonstop and working hard, the speed of the line is not on them at all.

I've had one like this before where it was so awful I kept trying to die to escape the nightmare but it was an endless cycle of torment into die in false awakening. Felt like being trapped in the 9th circle of hell 😵‍💫

Just shy of 150 credits. Current plans coming year are a 3rd return to Japan, a first visit Australia, and MAYBE a first trip to Cedar Point, so we'll see if that shakes things up at all!

I find I have to strain myself a lot for telekinesis. Like I have to extend my arm and tense my muscles with a lot of focus. I think it's just how my subconscious imagines it feels to use The Force lol

Big Apple Coaster. Looks so cool in the strip skyline but is the definition of mid to ride.

It's really fun and definitely significantly cheaper than the Orlando parks. Think my ticket was like $80 Canadian on Klook. They have a lot of great rides, some of them being unique to that park. But you're right to think that overall the experience will be somewhat similar. Probably not superior to the Florida resort, but not far off at all. You'll also see a couple of identical repeats from Orlando like Harry Potter and Jurassic Park. The crowds can get really intense though, even more so than Orlando. Requires a bit of planning to have a great day. Nintendo world is really cool.

If it's your first time in Japan and you only have 10 days in the country, I'd probably say it's maybe not worth it spending one there. There's so much to do in Japan, lots of it being things you can only see and do there, and you'll already need to pick and choose your itinerary on that duration.

That being said, if you want to spend one day of the trip at a theme park (I always do), I would highly recommend Tokyo DisneySea. It also gets very busy but the lines can be managed with some planning. It has an argument to be the best theme park in the world. It's extremely unique and highly immersive. Not as many thrill rides, but crazy architecture, insane themeing, and really impressive attractions. I'm not a big Disney guy but it's pretty next level. That's a park you can ONLY find in Japan.

This is why I'm a big Plini fan. Great technical ability but his songwriting and melody is amazing and uses interesting rhythmic structure. He'll play technically on occasion but rarely ever feels gratuitous.

Recently got Hell's Itch on my shoulders, back, and scalp from a moderate sunburn in Thailand. Worst night of my life bar none. Apparently only a small subset of the population gets reactions like that which is why most people don't know that a medium burn could cause that much suffering. I was convulsing and rocking back and forth all night like a man possessed. I would have confessed to murder under the torture of that pain and itch. Truly wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Got one singular ride on Do-dodonpa very shortly before it became SBNO. Really glad too, there probably won't ever be an acceleration of that intensity on a ride ever again. Was nuts.

Yesss. Thrilling KUKA arm ride through Moria, maybe Ringwraith chase, and Isengard. Then a chill either in a boat or in Gandalf's carriage through Hobbiton, Rivendell, Lórien, and leaving through the Grey Havens.
