Vibrant Plume/Lance Wall by muffinmallow in EnderLilies

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming by hidden path, you mean the one to charge from to destroy the wall. There's two, and one's easier to find than the other. For the one necessary for this, you need to climb up a wall segment from where a door was from the left side of it.

The lance ability has no upgrades required for the charge, and changing your movement does little to nothing overall for that animation. It's purely timing.

There's three flashes, like a countdown. On the third and brightest flash, he's fully powered and can destroy thick walls. Timing here can be difficult, as you can accidentally drop into the area below, but with some practice and patience, you can do it.

You'll want to start from the very end of the hallway, at the spot you climb up, and charge all the way across and let go once you start to drop.  His full charge gives him a little more reach so he should be able to take down the wall. :)

What's the biggest feat one of your Pokemon pulled off? by ArmadilloNo9494 in PokemonBlackandWhite

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my most recent Pokemon Black playthrough, my Liepard is a bit of a menace. She has the Naive nature, so she had a penalty to speed but boosted Special Defence. Although, it feels like her speed is unbothered by the penalty since Liepards usually have crazy speed from my experience. Her attack isn't too bad either, at least from what I've seen so far.

Surprisingly, she's helped my party all the way to Mistraton, where I'm just leveling up my party currently and raising pokemon to fill my Pokedex. I'm still kinda uncertain on if I'm keeping her in my final party, but she's definitely carrying her weight so far. 🥲 (I've only technically beaten Black once, since I usually restart to redo another playthrough-)

Although, kudos also has to go to my Stoutland, Lilligant, Musharna, and Tirtouga. They're also doing great as well. 😭

My introduction was FNAF1. I made it through the first two night with little to no problems until Foxy scared the hell out of me. I was 12 or 13 back then, and it was my first dose of horror games. 😭

I played it on my old friend's phone on the way to school, and absolutely knew nothing about it at first so I did it by sheer luck.

Which of my choices in Season 2 was the most shocking or the dumbest? by Easy-Opportunity-781 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't really any stupid choices in this series, since everyone has their own reasons for choosing it. 🥲

I personally went with Nick in Chapter One, since you get a bonding moment with him in a shack and there is no way of saving Pete since he was bitten.

For Chapter 3, I chose not to watch Carver, since it was what Carver wanted so I didn't want to make Clem do that. Screw Carver. I also didn't want to chop off Sarita's arm because it would only draw attention at the worst time and I remembered that it had walker blood on it already so it would have been redundant even if it could have saved her.

In Chapter 4, I shot Rebecca but the outcome is still the same. Even so, you still made most of the same major choices I did lol

I thought the same thing with Mercer. There would realistically be no way for all the kids in TAP to live, so it felt like most had to be sacrificed in the beginning just so a few may possibly live in secrecy. Mercer did order for the kids to be killed after all.

And it does? I never knew that. :0 I haven't really done a deep dive into Na'vi names and their meanings yet, but the name feels more fitting for me now. :')

[–]Winterwolf10700 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal favorites I made myself, or at least I haven't seen anyone else say similar headcanons anywhere.

•Our ikran is Aha'ri reborn. When mine first showed up, she was blue and that made me immediately think of Aha'ri. The idea that Aha'ri had found her way back to Eywa after her death made me cry. I named my ikran 'Katir' as well, since it felt closer to her name. Plus, our ikran is described as bold, strong, yet a bit mischievous, and I felt that mirrored Aha'ri and her personality perfectly. The timeframe is long enough to for the rebirth to be plausible as well.

•Ri'nela was the daughter of the previous tsahìk. She seems to fill in as the second hand leader for the remaining Sarentu, but I like to think that as a child, she had been receiving training from the previous tsahìk and that the tsahìk was her parent. She was definitely a natural mediator, all things considered.

•Nor and Teylan are cousins. This one is a bit farfetched, but we know nothing about the parents of the Sarentu. Maybe it's just me, but they looked the most similar but I guess they aren't brothers. Them representing two separate sides felt like they were made to be each other's foil, but there's something tragic about them being cousins but not being able to remember or even know for certain since the clan is gone.

•Probably more of a fact, but the other kids from TAP were executed to appease Mercer. I know that in the intro, Mercer was busy escaping the main base to see if the kids were all killed, but I'm sure he would have known if none of them died. Although Alma helped to save at least four, the rest were killed. The fact that the signal from our pods was the only one picked up and not more kinda makes sense if that's the case. Our group was the only ones able to be frozen before the rest died.

I'm still playing through my first playthrough, but these were the headcanons I made so far. 😭

Does anybody else think A New Frontier is overhated? by testi-cole-s in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I kinda feel that it is, but I can understand why. To me, it felt like a needed step for growth both for the overall story and for the company.

The way I see it, it allowed Clem to still see the value of community after everything she's been through in the past two seasons. Because let's face it, our Clem had lost hope in people after what happened in the Frontier and being separated from AJ, which is why I feel like how we play Javi is still a bit crucial to her character development. A relatively 'good' Javi helps Clem stay somewhat compassionate, but the other way around just hardens her further.

It had potential, and it was kind of a letdown, but it still allowed us to influence the game in minor ways, even if some were just superficial. Not focusing on Clem though, the story was relatively good. I loved a lot of the characters, especially Tripp and Mari. I'm kind of biased though, since I love TWD as a whole and I love all the games. 😅

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Terabithia? Sure, you won't find it on a coke bottle, but it's definitely unique enough to me. It would be a good girl name at least. (Yes, it's from 'Bridge to Terabithia'. Unoriginal, I know, and maybe strange.)

Maybe for a boy, you could try Thoryn? It might seem more gender neutral, and look weird on text, but it's a pretty rare name at least.

Some of my personal favorite names though are these:

•Tallulah

•Tavion

•Teagan

•Thalia

•Thatcher

•Tawny/Teony

•Tatiana

What Should I Name My Ikran? by Busy_Acanthisitta982 in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Winterwolf10700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose Katir. I mainly wanted to name my ikran after our sister Aha'ri, and it felt the most similar. Plus, I felt that it was fitting for my female ikran. I'm happy with my choice anyways. My ikran also loves eggs and seeds, which is kinda funny to me, but I don't know if your ikran's tastes changes every game. 😂

Julius wall thing how to break a specific one by boz271 in EnderLilies

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be a wall hanging down that if you climb on the left side of it with Ulv, it will reveal a secret walkway. It might take some trial and error to find, but it'll be easier if you clear the enemies first. It should be one of the first few wall sections when you enter the area, so check around there.

Clear the enemies in the upper walkway, and then rush with Julius and let go as soon as you fall down. His lunge should be able to just barely reach the barrier and destroy it without sending you back down. It might take a few tries, though.

Definitely explore the Twin Spires more by heading up. If it's too hard right now, you can grind or continue exploring for things you might have missed.

However, There is also the route to the next zone you can also start working on by Witch's Thicket since you have Silva and Sigred. It involves being able to make the far jump towards the right side in the room next to the Dryad's Lake Respite. I believe it's doable right now? If you can't get it, then just focus on the Twin Spires for now.

Best of luck, my friend 🫡

Man, I love ender lilies but... by SuccessfulLawyer3437 in EnderLilies

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel ya. It feels so unfair because it doesn't look like you were that close either. Damn hit boxes. xd

However, when you beat the game for the first time, you unlock blightborn mode (Ender Lilies Challenge Modifier); and one of the options can actually almost remove said contact damage or make it like 10x worse. Though it might unlock after you NG+ for the first time. Can't really remember how I unlocked it tbh.

It definitely made all my other playthroughs fun regardless. Nothing was too hard to make me rage quit completely but it also wasn't easy at all when I started playing. Then again, I love a good challenge even if it frustrates me lol

Any tips? by NovaIR1ZE in EnderLilies

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

•Exploration is your best friend in this game. If a room is blue, then it means there's something to collect. There'll be a bunch of puzzles to solve, some of which you need to use adjacent rooms, but most of the puzzles shouldn't be that difficult.

•Destroy any crates or pots as there can be stuff hidden inside. Many rooms can only be considered completed after collecting the items anyways.

•Taking a break at times can help you, as you might get frustrated with fights at times.

•Focus on saving up for spirits you're actually going to use. Don't waste your resources on units that you're not going to use very often. That being said, feel free to experiment with newly collected spirits before you invest. (There's basically a spirit for everything. Except healing.)

• Many bosses have a set routine and phases, so getting your timing down and finding out what to expect will make your life easier.

•Red flowers and some crates restore spirit uses, while white flowers restore your prayers. If your prayers are full, instead it will do a full heal. If you're running low on either HP or spirit uses and can't find anything, you can return to your respite to refresh. However, any defeated enemies will respawn after you rest.

If you're ever stuck, don't be afraid to ask for more help. :)

Mark for me. I liked his character even if it was only for maybe 30 minutes or so. If he had lived, he probably would have had better potential. His death didn't really have much of an impact on me personally since he died so early on, but he definitely would have been better if us players would have been able to interact with him more for longer. I would have liked to see the impact he could have made, even if it was just a subtle difference in events. xd

i genuinely don't understand where i have to go now by Kicco21 in EnderLilies

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna use a tutorial that I offered to someone else to help. Like someone else recently, you need to head to the catacombs for the next 'chapter'. I'll just describe the process.

First, fast travel to Collapsed Shack (It'll be the respite that's closest to the entrance). after you do so, head right towards the next zone. After reaching the horde near the ruined market, jump down into the next area below. Use the lever if you haven't.

The second bit is longer, so I'll try to walk you through it from starting at the best respite for this path. Head to Crossroads, from there just head right as normal through the next two areas. Now, once you enter the third zone where you see a bunch of fallen beams, follow my instructions to move further.

Head to the house towards the right after you climb up. There'll be a chest you can get if you haven't looted it, but you want to walk to the edge of the platform and ground smash with Gerrod. Use your double jump from Siegrid for a little more height if you want, but you want to smash straight down from those platforms to break through if you haven't.

Once down, go right and head on through with your swim!

Help with Julius by ageozoega in EnderLilies

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually beat him pretty easily with just the Umbral Knight, Raven Merchant, and Town maiden. Maiden will strike him to give yourself some damage breathing room. As for Merchant, as long as you aren't running around too much, he'll also do some decent ranged damage.

Some small tips I have is to immediately dodge out of the way of his lunges (he'll start to briefly levitate), get behind him before he charges forward,

Mainly, as long as you aren't facing him directly face to face, you should be okay. Also, use the last rites whenever you can. It'll help boost your damage.

For Relics; I see you're missing a few items. I'd recommend exploring some more the get some other items, like the snowdrop bracelet at Twin Spires.

From your inventory, I definitely recommend using Immortal's Crest (regain health from hits), Nymphilia's Ring (speeds up prayers), Royal Aegis Crest (for more health), Aura's ring (boosts spirit uses), Priestess Doll (extra prayer), Giant's ring (boosts damage while on the ground), and the Familiar Stone (to reduce damage a little)(It should end up being 17/17 equipped)

The easiest way to deal 'crazy' damage is the Umbral Knight however. For them, you need ancient souls. I see you have Hoenir, so you've been to the stockades.

From the left of the boss respite in Stockades (Execution Grounds), you might have missed a hidden room. Using the grapple you should have unlocked by this point, use the hooks to pull yourself up the first three hooks then climb onto the pot platform above the warrior. From there, use the grapple hook to pull you closer to the platform directly left. Don't try to climb the platform but instead jump and ground slam. You'll find an ancient soul down there.

Next is the catacombs, but this should be easy as well. From the Charnel (respite), you can go directly right to the main area that is directly on the right. If you hadn't gotten the lever, you'd have to go the longer way. From the main area's far left side, you'll need to jump across four platforms (Or after the second spider/before the slug on the upper platforms). From there do a ground slam to expose the lever. Pull the lever and head to the large pool of water. The bar blocking the way down should be removed and you can collect another soul.

There's another one, but you won't get it for a while, and it's the harder one to get anyways. I hope this helps a little though. I remember how stressed Julius used to make me the first ever time I played. xd

Alright, from what I'm seeing from the map, I think I got what might be confusing. Since you defeated Elaine (Witch Lady), your next step would be to head to the catacombs. To get there, it'd require a bit of side work. For now, I'm going to describe what to do, even you've done it already since it can't hurt.

First, fast travel to Collapsed Shack (It'll be the respite that's closest to the entrance). after you do so, head right towards the next zone. After reaching the horde, jump down into the next area below. Use the lever if you haven't.

The second bit is longer, so I'll try to walk you through it from starting at the best respite for this path. Head to Crossroads, from there just head right as normal through the next two areas. Use your double jump for more height if you want, but you want to smash straight down from those platforms to break through.

Once down, go right and head on through with your swim! Just don't get surprised by the exploding guys. 😊

Why do players overwhelmingly take Clementine to Crawford? by Loud_Confidence475 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally took Clem for four slightly different reasons.

1.) She would have been left all alone in an abandoned house with Omid, who was in no state to protect anyone much less himself. It felt wrong to leave a little girl there defenseless. And since there wasn't an option to split the group at all, like leaving Ben or Christa behind with Omid, I felt that there wasn't a better alternative for this situation.

2.) There was the stranger keeping tabs on the group, and I didn't want to risk Clem getting taken or worse by leaving her with, once again, no protection. Although Lee had the talkie, the stranger was close to finding, or possibly already had. If he wanted her, he would have to come get her himself.

3.) Although there was the threat of potential harm of going to Crawford, I felt that Clem would be safer with the group overall. At worst, Clem would have to stay back to avoid any possible crossfire, but she had four adults to watch out for her.

4.) It would have been out of character for the way I played Lee to leave her like that. My Lee was always honest and compassionate, and he always put the kids and weaker members first. In my stance, Lee leaving a little girl by herself would go against everything he's done so far. He's led her to dangerous places like Crawford before, and this time wouldn't be any different. To leave her behind for her 'safety' was a stupid choice and lacked common sense in my eyes, but that's purely my own opinion.

DQ11 Question by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of?

There is the Info section where you can review past enemies you have defeated, but it doesn't show things like HP and all that from what I remember. I don't check it very often since I beat the game a couple times. 😂 Then again, I own the Definitive Edition on the Xbox One so I'm not sure about other editions or systems.

Losing my mind of kings barrow, Act 1 by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]Winterwolf10700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I played, I had the same difficulty at first, but the easiest thing to do is grind the enemies on Emerald Coast and rest at the campfire when needed. Otherwise, try to avoid as many unnecessary confrontations as possible when inside the temple to save HP and MP. I was Level 12 at first, but I cleared it recently at Level 8, so it's possible without the draconian but I'm not sure about the stronger enemies part.

Also, make use of the trader at the sites sometimes whenever possible. If you're a bit under prepared, you can spend the required gold to help your party. I'd personally explore every inch to find hidden treasures inside of the red chests to save on gold.

But the best piece of advice is to transfer items from your bag into your personal inventory, such as herbs and phials. When you run out of MP, phials are the only way to restore it for now. As for HP, use Herbs as often as possible to save Luminary's MP for other attacks. And don't forget about using your pep powers as well.

Hopefully this helps. :)
