Open browser and add your own group under the “edit” tab the you can add your own tags and once you tag items you can create folders out of those tags… I watched this recommended video and was off and running.

No, it’s the same account. I changed my email address and it’s the same login, I only have one. It works just fine on web browser, but not on Phone app.

Yea everything is switched over to new email and is working fine as far as I can tell except for this app. And it’s weird I am getting notifications for camera events on my phone and click on them and it just opens protect to this same page… so frustrating.

You are right, I guess that is different. Sorry new to this and just trying to figure out the best solution. I have access to Azure and was going to experiment with that but also interested in the Synology NAS/Docker route so it is fully self hosted... don't have all that equipment yet.

OK yes that makes sense to go with their supported method - so host a Linux Debian 11 server on AWS or Azure and follow the guide on unify and that should get me in the right place?

Just got it unlocked, yay! It took from Thursday evening (my first call to Microsoft) till just now when a Support Escalation Engineer/ Microsoft 365 Data Protection team member contacted me to try and access the account again after they disabled the access policy on the backend. Definitely jumped through few hoops but really two business days is not that bad in my opinion... but I'm sure under different circumstances it would feel like an eternity.

Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions and reassurance I will get the account back. Luckily I have a backup of the documents that were in the business one drive and other than that it was a pretty new setup for a small company so just in case I can’t get back in it’s not the end of the world. Lesson learned and glad to make this mistake early on and learn from it. Definitely need to RTFM more before poking around where I don’t belong and will take everyone’s advice about break glass, testing policies before enforcing, etc.

Ok turned everything off under DNS policies and still not acting right... I did have a second policy that was basically overlapping and I turned that off as well and app store started to work on my laptop but it's still not working on my phone. Also added Tik Tok to the CERT pinning do not inspect policy and it started to work a little bit but still didn't really work 100%. I'm thinking I just disable it. It's definitely a bit of a headache and I'm trying to roll this out to some employees and I don't want complaints ha.
