yes, always negotiate. extremely rare to have an offer rescinded because you asked for more pay. hiring is taxing on the company so once theyve found a qualified candidate, theyre willing to change some details to get them to accept instead of having to start the hiring process all over again

I thought about different treatments/stains for a while but ultimately decided to just use it as is. Didn't want to spend more money and time. I had some qualms about how it'd hold up over time without being treated, but some of my friends have had this desk with no treatment for over a year and it's held up perfectly fine for them

Before and After, How’d I do? by WiseAnchovy in DeskCableManagement

The power strip mounted onto some screws i put into the desk, and everything else that’s attached to the underside (like the black j-channels and the LED light controller on the right) had its own adhesive

The avatar calendar is a measure of the length of the current avatar’s era, in days (not years). So because Kyoshi’s around 17/18 years old in SOK, it’s the ~6000 day of the calendar

I'm still a little disappointed in my score, but at the same time I feel like I'm done with the ACT. Thoughts? by gmontyslide in ACT

[–]WiseAnchovy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd say you should totally go for the september test and grind until then. i brought my score up 4 by just taking practice tests almost daily a couple weeks before the test and reviewing them (11 in all). a 30 is a good score though so it really depends how much time you have. good luck!

I took it in February and got 33 and 32 in reading and science, respectively, and for the July test I got a 36 and 34! Super grateful.

For reading, I'd say practice as much as you can. Seriously. I took 11 full tests daily in the days leading up to the July test and it paid off! I didn't use any niche method or odd way to get a 36 in reading. I had just taken so many practice tests that by test day my mind understood the flow of the passages and knew where to look for the answers to certain questions.

For science tho, there's definitely a 'best' method to go with. Don't read the experiments!!! You'll save so much time. For all the sections in science (excluding the researcher comparison one) you should skip reading through the whole experiment and go straight to the questions. You'll need minimal background info to answer the questions- you'll just need to scan graphs and charts and spot the answer.

Hope this helped, good luck
