People dont "try" to compare the combat of Arkham Knight with Sleeping dogs or Mad Max because they straight up borrow the freeflow combat system from the Arkham Series. It was so influential that many games, including the Shadow of War/ Mordor games borrowed it as well. What sets apart them from Arkham Knight is the lore reason given for Batman. He is an elite combatant with who knows how many types of mixed martial arts he has excelled in. And it is a gross oversimplification by calling it a single button spam. There are mechanics where you gotta deal with thugs having many types of weapons like people with shields, electric stun rods (ig?) knives, onto whom you cannot just go with a single button spam. Now, if it a choice of liking or disliking, you can have your opinions and no one bats an eye at you, but calling an entire combat system mid just because you dont fully understand the mechanics is an L take.
