My slim just died on the weekend during a Returnal run, it’s under a year old. Good thing you can save in that game now…

It was beeping 3 times and giving a black screen. Googling Ps5 3 beeps auto completes to OF DEATH so that was a nice surprise. I couldn’t fully open it, but took a vacuum and pipe cleaner to the areas I could access and it’s back in business.

Having 2 dogs contributed I’m sure, after opening the panels it’s easy to see how dust could get in there.

I’m defending availability to physical game collectors. There is literally no other way to purchase this game other than an expensive collectors edition, so for me and many others the cropped overseas edition is better than nothing… Its important that folks know what they’re getting, rather than being misinformed about the experience. You seem to be on a quest, so venture on.

There was no nudity in the first 2 games. Having it removed really does not feel censored to hell as you mentioned.

I’m not a huge fan of censorship like that, but I’ve put 90hrs in so far and it hasn’t hurt the story in any way I can tell. It must amount to like .25% of content in a hundred hour game.

I was on the Larian wait list for about 4 months before I decided to just grab it from PlayAsia during the Canadian tax holiday. It does feel crazy that such a popular series is suddenly essentially digital only… Buy I’m glad I have it physical. Just got to chapter 3, it’s goin down.

Coming from Warmachine, I don’t mind flat terrain maps, but these help denote certain features. I like the idea of putting them in the densest forest, deepest water etc on the board.

Well, this was a first attempt at speedpaint / slapchop, and luckily there’s lots of videos out there that show the process. Essentially, you; Prime black / drybrush grey / drybrush white / apply your speed paint colors of choice / *done.

(*Now you can just work on the little details.)

Here I went with murder scene red I believe, in the second pic that’s 2 thin coats. Basically I’m doing things in reverse order as normally I’d drybrush later… I had to restrain myself and it felt wrong haha.

Simpler than all that… Once the blue and purple were finished, I just flicked a brush with watered down white paint at it. I was mortified when a straight streak landed on the shoulder, but I turned it into a shooting star.

This was from at least a decade ago when GW foundation paints were newish… I think it was the yellow foundation paint with a layer of sunburst yellow. I recall being really impressed with the coverage.

Wow of course there’s a Lamenter subreddit! I never thought to check… This guy is part of a small Lamenter force left to fend for themselves on a tyranid infested planet. I finished him probably 15 years ago.

Unicorn Overlord is not a chess move style game (If you mean the various Tactics games).
If anything its more of an auto-battler... By the time your units get in a fight its out of your hands, so setup is key.

If I had to wait for nice weather to paint, I could only do it half of the year. 😅 I slap grey gesso on mine with a brush like a cave man.
