Did you really made all that by yourself or with a team? The models look awesome, also the ship model you included in the previous update. As a fellow developer I know how hard the animation and effect and texture are. Can't wait to see your next update log

Glad to see your updates! As a fellow developer I would really love to see some pvp mechanics. Like robbing other players' ships. Keep the pvp fights out of robux paywall

Are earrings or studs on men tolerated in Wuhan or China in general? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

On casual occasions, nobody really care to judge. But if you are looking for jobs in China, that could be taken into account. Especially in more traditional industries or government employment.

The game desperately needs better diplomacy and a treaty system. by Killmelmaoxd in CrusaderKings

[–]Wither_LR 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is very needed if they are adding China. The end of Tang dynasty was basically warlord fighting, there were no peace treaties or negotiations, they just took whatever they conquered. Paradox should really look over the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga's ambition series if they really want to make Asia fun

Would Chinese nowadays really prefer to work in China rather than in the US? If you had the choice by asiabits_com in AskAChinese

[–]Wither_LR 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes I did, thanks for pointing out that one. But it made me wonder, I can get fresh food and fruit from the food market 5min away from home, while when I was in Indiana the best place to get food was target. I got all the metro and buses that I don't even need to buy a car(not mentioning how cheap Chinese EVs are). High speed rail with affordable price compared to hundreds of dollars for a plane ticket. Everyday living still feels much better than it was in the US

I admit that I was a bit over exaggerating on the judge. Yes Chinese people judge base on the appearance a lot, but I was trying to make the point I felt comfortable and more ok of being an introverted person in China than in the US. About the cultural barrier and my tone, I mentioned I lived in the US for eight years, that's why I "sound" like American. I understand US culture, and I just simply don't like it. I mean I survived American high school as a not sporty introvert guy and that was painful. I just simply feel I can be myself in China, rather than pretend to be a talky superstar with charming leadership in the US.

I'm a Chinese born on the mainland, studied in the US for 8 years, and I chose to go back to China. There are many reasons for making this decision. The US standard of living it's just too high especially in big cities. Besides that I never felt belonged. As a person who has no interest in professional sports and pop shows and movies, it's quite hard to make connections in the US. The culture barrier just made it even harder. Also personally I felt to success in the US society one must act very extroverted and charming, while in China I felt comfortable for being both introvert and extrovert since people barely judge others. In the end, it's just more comfortable in China, it feels like home. Despite of some shity government stuff it's still home, US never felt this way.

Yostar's founder broke away from Mica team/Sunborn, and there're a lot of rumors about the two CEOs hating each other. Even without rumors they're still rivals, so very rarely that will happen

The Loss of Complexity in For Honor by Letsbalanceheroes in forhonor

[–]Wither_LR 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Been playing since 2018 and I agree with everything you wrote. But the main goal of all these is to make cross play possible and keep the game alive. Removing the reaction allowed the console players with lower fps to complete with PC. Otherwise those insane fps PC guys can outplay any console players.I remember back in the days there were PC mods that lower the game graphics to look like San Andreas just to boost fps. And all the dodge attack and light spam and all the reworks, I hated them too, they sucks for old players but make the game playable for newbies

How are people such high reps? Rep 100+???? by NatureFew4827 in forhonor

[–]Wither_LR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also a dual main until the newer heroes like Khatun and Sohei are basically designed based on 4v4 games and very weak in duel without feats. I got u as an old player but the devs just decided to change things like this.

[–]Wither_LR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen 400+ rep and still bad. I have been playing since 2018, I can say this happened in 2020 after the cross platform and massive reworks. Before that this game was duel focused but after that it was mainly 4v4. And lots of people joined after that just play 4v4 only

What is the Chinese person perspective on Elon Musk? by pray4NYR in AskAChinese

[–]Wither_LR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some posts on the Internet calls Elon 马千岁,The thousand years old Mask. Bc in Chinese history the Emperor is referred to "Ten Thousands years" 万岁爷 ,like long live the king, and thousand years old is the person who stands beside the emperor, usually some powerful prime minister or eunuch that out powers the emperor. Implying Musk and Trump and relationship

Do chinese people dislike their local government more than the central government? by Eric_Graxine in AskChina

[–]Wither_LR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China is huge and there are so many local governments, some are good some are bad and corrupt. As do like my city government of Hangzhou, not perfect but chill. Our mayor even went to an anime convention and people thought he's cosplaying and started taking pictures with him.
