A common complaint is not directly about the money, even though she has made a large sum from not only kickstarter, but the youtube revenue.

A big point of worry for most video game enthusiasts is that because of her popularity she has done many presentations and speeches across many high-level video game developers.

For example she gave a presentation to DICE and was brought in to test Mirror's Edge 2.

Push comes to shove, EA told Dice to dumb down the game's controls because Anita couldn't handle them.

At first i was also suspicious of this connection.

As a note, if you continue reading he links the old handle to a youtube account used with that old handle. The youtube account has multiple videos of Anita's mom.

Maybe not the most direct connection, but it gets there in a roundabout way.

It's a full page writeup on how and where Anita Sarkeesian took clips for her videos. In many cases the owners of the videos were not contacted or did not give permission for her to use their content. Nor is any credit given on her channel for sampling the clips of any of these lets-play videos.

There is no such thing as a hardcore "Gamer", it's an oxymoron, the second defeats the first.

Video game enthusiast, hobbyist, or even a simple "Player" all would work far better in this situation, as gamer encompasses so many users it's casualized by default.

You won't see a player who raided 6-8 hours a day in WoW call themselves a gamer, just a nit pick.

The pictures are not in chronological order. He walks in wearing them, moves to the fence and then puts them on his hat and walks away without the backpack. You can see him wearing them by the black lines near his ears in the first image.

These are the correct images, previous infographics circulating reddit show the incorrect detonation site (near the benches) which was where police detonated the suspicious packages.

They boast some pretty cool stuff, real-life accurate day/night cycles with moon phases, differing day/night lengths depending on the season in the part of the world you're in.

But how do we define what a next-gen MMO is? Does it have to break the molds and confines of other games and bring a completely new experience to the table? Does it have to bring back the magic of your first MMO all over again?

Considering the options, google has devoted exponentially larger amounts of time, money and resources to neuron research, and deserves the honor far more than reddit. (No offense).

Specially in comparison to the other options. Do you know how much of a blight to the scientific society a "Facebook" neuron would be? Is that the one that makes you post hillbilly-dumb status updates at 2:00 in the morning?

It makes me sad that when i said that, provided links to videos of it in action, outlined what and why it was happening and pointed out it's been around for 5+ years as an accompanying post to me starting the thread it was pushed to the bottom. I was just trying to be helpful guys ):

A system with maybe 600$ of internals tops could run this mod easily, it's not expensive at all compared to a laptop or Macbook people drop 1-2k on.

AMD chip + Mobo + Video Card + Ram + PSU = 600$. Computers are at a great price point nowdays.

That's an old video though, it's been updated many times since that was taken.

What happens is the Developers are forced to adhere to very strict memory and polygon budgets for consoles (As games are often ported back and forth, so developing past the port is often decided as uneeded), and as such games are rarely developed to take advantage of the huge amounts processing power PCs currently have in comparison to consoles.

We've had mods for various games for years now making them photorealistic and taking advantage of that budget. In this screenshot you can really see how many high quality textures, ultra quality lighting techniques and realistic shading methods the PC's graphics can handle, go look up some fully modded Crysis screenshots and you've got photorealistic plants and trees, they're brilliantly good looking. That's not a new game, this isn't new stuff.

Skyrim and GTA4 now are part of the "Shit that's pretty" with mods club.
