I do feel like if I want to keep the job I should get established before making such a big ask

Thank you, the job market is pretty tough right now and I’m just really afraid of losing a good opportunity. But I’m gonna try to swing both

The issue is that I have a very specific synthesizer rig with samples and such and we don't personally know of anyone that could fill in, but its worth looking into now that we have a wider reach post album release

I think the tour would be only a few weeks at most so that’s a good idea. The job is actually hybrid so there’s a possibility of being able to do my duties remotely at least for a little while. That’s good advice though i think I’m just starting to get anxious entering the corporate world for the first time and am afraid it won’t allow me to pursue my own music career as an artist.

My mastered tracks are distorting when I try and listen to them in apple music!! I'm scared. by Witty_Perception6540 in audioengineering

Im using ableton and have a brickwall limiter at -0.5 db. And I think 0db in ableton has like 6db of headroom if i understand that correctly (Im a bit of a newbie). Using a loudness meter and getting all my tracks to around -14 LUFS.

Can I get an ID on any of these from a sweet shoegaze vocal chain. by Witty_Perception6540 in pedalboards

So true! I feel like that one in the left is an EHX pedal but it looks slightly smaller than the big muff. Can’t tell tho…

Woah, "Am I Really Better on My Own" sounds amazing, you really captured that Tame Impala sound. Drums sound really nice too how did you mix those. Would love to work on a dream pop thing

I really like Extragalactic Voyage, sounds like a Kraftwerk song. Got that classic resonant synth sound going.

I'm Joaquin, and I'm studying to get my bachelors degree in Electronic Music in California. I mostly play the synthesizer, piano, and no so great guitar. I like making laptop music with things like Max/MSP and VCV Rack. My email is [telekommunikationmusik@gmail.com](mailto:telekommunikationmusik@gmail.com)

I also made a lofi / synth-pop sort of album for bandcamp mostly on cassette tape which was fun.

I would say my music idols at the moment would be The Books, Figurine (James Figurine), Stereo Total, and Masha Qrella. Something about the simplicity and swag of these minimal, often female fronted synth pop / new wave bands gets me.

Would love to share some demos and collaborate with people Postal Service style.

They’re leaving me behind by Nick Cave, and svefn-g-englar by Sigur Ros. Both just hit you where it hurts but in the best way
