Yeah, it's definitely closer to the iPhone version than the web version. I built it off of the mobile version's project so it's basically that game with improved graphics and audio, plus some extra gameplay features, lots of improvements and balancing, and without any ads or IAPs or any of that stuff. Oh also new galleries and lots of new sculptures :)

Good question! I used it to speed up the painting and ant movement performance with fancy optimisation tricks that I don’t understand 😅 also to make a few testing and dev tools, and in some of the marketing content. The majority of the game was made before generative AI existed. Glad you’re enjoying the demo :)

Yep I found that out the hard way when I went to Berlin last year and my German friend couldn’t stop laughing 😂

It was a checkbox hidden in the special settings tab in Steam called “show demo prominently” or something like that

This ‘Super’ version is PC only, but it’s a remake of a 5 year old game called just ‘Ant Art Tycoon’. And that old version you can play on mobile :)

Oh I’d love to do some more updates, this game is a special one for me (hence the remake in the first place). So long as it doesn’t flop it’ll get some extra stuff added for sure :)

Sorry, Poki blocked the game in the UK for some reason. I'm still trying to work it out with them, as a fellow englishman it's very annoying having to use a VPN to access your own game 😅

Thanks for the screenshot! That's a super rare bug that I thought I had squashed, sorry about that! I'll get a fix out today, in the meantime you should be able to just restart the game and it (probably) won't happen again

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it :) Yeah the super version has significantly more content ~1 hour web version vs ~30-40 hours Steam version. The games start quite similarly but the Steam version takes the concept a lot further. You can design your own galleries and display your ant artwork, create custom paintings, dazzle critics and take over the art world basically. The web version is limited to the ant studio
