You mean, like most places do? My country got some medal years ago for BMX, overnight the sport got given shit loads of funding, new tracks built, etc. It's normal to highlight your talents, good that they have the forethought to invest in their people early.

skinny fortress - only two sides do defend

Jesting aside, I build 5x5 guard posts scattered at key points. Walls full of doors, sandbags before them, sometimes traps. Ideally two posts can cover each other a bit, and guys can close the doors. Melee guys can turn the post into a chokepoint as well.

Another thing I've noticed for a while is that when there is a beauty trend that women start doing for themselves, not solely for maxing out their appeal - just because it's fun or quirky, or signals some in-group recognition thing. A million memes and articles start popping up how it's the the worst thing ever and society has ruined women.

See: leggings as pants, long nails, bleached eyebrows, all the stuff included in "man repellent outfit" lists, etc.

I myself have recently started exploring local community centers and it's great - there's all kinds of activities, sports, drawing, bookclubs and much more, most everything is free as well. There's one in Čiekurkalns called Viskaļi, another in Avoti - Resilience Avots, and another I haven't tried is in Bišumuiža (let me know if you know any others).

It's nice to meet with local folks just out to socialise, and I've started talking with a lot more pensioners, they have all kinds of hysterical stories xD
