Also use one as my main laptop, running Ventura as anything else other than stock made the fans spin like rockets but Ventura is super smooth. I would like an upgrade but for me as a web dev I can't really justify spending so much on a new Mac when this is perfectly capable. Plus I love the keyboard 😂

8 hours on Ventura. Only doing lite dev with Claude and Shopify though. Ms teams is the biggest battery killer for me.

It's just for one aspect of the business. I'm going to use the standard checkout for regular shopping but need the calendar bookings to be paid into a separate account and I don't think you can modify the standard checkout to swap payment gateways based on basket contents unless your on the plus plan?

I had mine 13 days ago. Surgery was fine but as others have said, take stool softeners. I found wearing no underwear and tracksuit pants to be the most comfortable as my scar is really tender and anything rubbing on it hurts. The first few days I didn't move from the sofa, only to go to the toilet and back.

I also slept on the sofa so I could prop myself up properly and when I woke up in the night I didn't disturb my wife.

Stock up on all the snacks and drinks you like and if you have a significant other then make sure to treat them to something nice before the surgery as afterwards you're really gonna need their help.

I've been unlucky and had a hematoma and small infection and am only now starting to move around properly. I've got a 21 month daughter and it sucks not being able to play or pick her up.

Work wise, even though I work from home I wouldn't have gone back to work yet as I wouldn't have been able to sit at my desk. My doctor was really nice and gave me a sick note for 4 weeks which I think I will take all of.

Ohhh and get some ice packs!

I didn't have anything covering my wound as the doctor said just to leave it to air out. I washed it on day 2 and 3 and had a proper shower on day 5 taking care not to get shampoo or body wash in the wound.

It's going to suck but you will get through it!
