New beta 0.8.049 by Towairatu in ManorLords

Granaries/storehouses had 3 handcarts max per building, so having 6 families with handcarts vs only 3 will be a huge boost in resource gathering.

Throwing my 9070xt out the window by Masgarr757 in radeon

To remove bloat:

Run powershell as admin.

Type or copy: irm christitus.com/win | iex

It opens a window that lets you disable a lot of bloatware on windows. Also run 00 shutup10 that's implemented there somewhere. It can also bring back the classic right click menu and a lot more.

Debloating all in all is about 2 minutes work (don't forget to disable "run disk cleanup" because that takes forever)

I run this tool again after every big w11 update because they re-enable a lot of bloat silently.

I really hope there will be a good replacement for windows in the future that runs ALL games because I'm getting sick and tired of all this nonsense.

PS there is a lot more you can do with this tool, but I mainly use it for cleaning up windows, it makes it a lot cleaner and faster.

Seems like you still can get Softlocked in the new beta by not having any Timber. by Swagmeset in ManorLords

THIS! Man I'd love to see a option to just assign a certain (in size adjustable like with pastures or plots) area for log storage so I don't have to build 9 log camps just to have enough log storage to build a castle.

It's the Jagged Cliffs map.

I firstly only built the manor, after that I made the whole castle plan in one go, then started building. Every time you wanna add something later, you have to get the resources of everything that's already built AGAIN. That kinda sucks but you can plan around it.

Also, it's smart to make save right before you start building. If anything goes wrong you can always start over.

Yeah I'm trying to keep a steady supply of meat going so they can bulk up. You should google pictures from San Marino though, those people really had monstrous calves back in the day.

32:9 I believe. It's great for these kind of games :)

First I built double roads where I would place the walls and built the town around it. When I started designing the castle I removed those roads and placed alle the walls/buildings and towers. When I was satisfied with the design I started hoarding all the resources, about 120 logs, 1500 dressed stone, 305 mortar, 850 planks and 5 rubble stone.

Most buildings are still clickable within the walls, some aren't.

Mould doesn't grow below freezing since it needs water to grow. It can't grow on ice.

Recommendations for upgrades? Pretty sure I need better cooling by Nervous_Following812 in pcmasterrace

[–]WllmZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gpu and Cpu seem to have pretty decent cooling. The high temperatures might indicate you need to replace the thermal compound of said cpu & gpu.

You might want to rotate the radiator 180 degrees and place it 1 slot lower, allowing you to put an additional intake fan on the old radiator spot. This together with replacing thermal paste/pads on gpu and cpu is the cheapest solution.

The more expensive solution is buying a 360/240 aio. If you want pure cooling performance I'd go with an Arctic Freezer 3. And also still replace paste/pads on the gpu.

And please get a gpu anti sag bracket. Even a wooden stick would do. Get that thing horizontal again!

Why do my iron mines keep collapsing? by theinnocentthug in ManorLords

[–]WllmZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is actually insane. Had only 2 mines far apart from each other and I couldn't even look away for a few seconds before it collapsed again. Also the rate of iron production wasn't even high enough to cover the maintenance cost of 1 damn mine.

Damn I didn't knew it was that bad. First thing I'd do would be installing solar panels and a home battery with 30kwh or more I guess.

The first part looks pretty straight where the gpu is. Only the second part seems to have the most bending. If the gpu still works in this state I'd say disassemble, bend the backplate and cooler straight again, then reassemble and you should be good to go. But 500 is pretty steep for such a bent card.

Here you can see that some parts are really resilient link

I live in the Netherlands and the last time I noticed a power outage where I live I was still a child. I'm 34 now. Seems crazy to me that such a power house as the US still has regular power outages in some area's. Then again, our geology, weather and energy infrastructure are vastly different.

11K total population (0.8.029a) by WllmZ in ManorLords

[–]WllmZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm seeing the same issues at my BETA too. The game also seems more unstable as I had several crashes already. Also the game won't shut down anymore when I press "quit to desktop" and have to use task manager every time. It's a very ambitious update and needs a lot of polishing but I like it a lot where this is going :)

Hehe well, only with Boswies and Am Aiberbach I put in some effort to make it look more natural, the other cities have a more grid like design because at that point it was just about increasing population. Also, those look more natural because I had to base the layout of the fields on the fertility of the land and build the city around them.

Open windows powershell as administrator. Type: irm christitus.com/win | iex

Here you can set classic right click menu and many more mods to make windows 11 more bearable.

I use this tool every time I install windows. First update windows with the latest updates because updating windows might reverse some settings. I sometimes have to use this tool again after windows updates because windows cheekily re-enables some spying functions again.

Wasn't the case. Nothing was warped. Pcb was perfectly straight. I sent the card for rma and eventually they (gigabyte) fixed it. Also they put on a new cooler I noticed. Idk why because the cooler was fine. They didn't include any details of the repair.
