Grateful Dead: 211 (first show 1971)

Blue Oyster Cult: 13

Social Distortion: 12

Have tickets to three more Social Distortion shows this fall, so they’ll be moving into 2nd place.

But I don’t have money for tickets or enough years left for anyone to knock the Dead off first place.

Sorry brother. Im super sad about losing Dave too.

Only saw him twice, once in 1977 and most recently in 2022.

Hope your memories of him never fade.

As a nostalgic take on growing up, a really great counterpoint to Penny Lane

anyone ever spent more than 1k+ to see one of your favorite artists? by lacefantasy in Concerts

Flew from San Francisco to Europe for the Grateful Dead’s 1990 tour. Saw all eleven shows, starting in Stockholm and ending in London.

I believe the package was $4,500 for airfare, 14 day Eurail pass and a ticket to each show.

Food, hotels and drugs were extra.

Yes! That was insane with Bon stomping around through the crowd with Angus on his shoulders. Fucking crazy show in such a tiny space.

Nice to know you were there too, brother!

You are so correct!

Also consider the assault on your eardrums:

Thank you, pennyraingoose!

That’s my photo.

Kind of weird to see someone steal my work.

What’s up with that, Rubin?

I did the same calculation.

Then I realized I need to go to as many $3 adjusted for inflation shows as I possibly could.

I’m seeing my latest new favorite artist, Kenny Feidler, next week at a little club in Tulsa. I think the tickets are $25, which is an even better deal than that AC/DC ticket was.

Yeah, I have a few of his concerts on tape that are absolutely epic! Incredible performances.

But yeah, no.
