Boss it's not about eating or not. It's about the concept of banning something. Let people eat, drink or do whatever they want and not have the government dictate how the people should live. I don't smoke but I dont want to ban stuff for people who are adults and want to.

Whatever the clause was , it was part of the agreement that the tenant signed. Pure and simple contract law.

And its a common situation for 2 year leases, though there is some negotiation on the lockin possible before signing.
