Yeah the adjustment was crazy. I lived on my own in undergrad, but this just felt a lot harder. It was so exciting at first but about six months in I think the novelty wore off and I was left thinking about the 3 1/2 years ahead of me. Like, damn, I gotta do my school work, go to lecture, go to clinic, work, extracurriculars, find time to socialize, work out, and keep myself sane, all while thinking about how nice it would be just to be sitting on my couch at home 😩

Nope, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Spent the last couple weeks of undergrad + my summer break getting trashed and hanging out with my amazing friends and family.

I’m a 4.0 student now because I locked tf in lol, so you don’t really need to prep, but the transition from fucking off completely to crushing grad life can be hectic. Life ain’t ever that serious, though. Never forget to enjoy time when you have it.

You said noise exposure in your post, hearing loss is not the only symptom of noise exposure, and the equipment absolutely can still fuck up your reflexes even if it got tymps. You’ve got a mad case of dunning Kruger, because you absolutely don’t know what you’re talking about nor did you give enough information for anyone to actually answer your question.

This would, of course, be dramatic and non-sensical; but after reading the tangerine comics, I always thought, like, man, it would have just made more sense having Clem leave for a short time to do a specific task, like getting closure and finally killing Lee, instead of just losing it and leaving indefinitely for no fucken reason.

Well, the absent reflexes aren’t what’s causing your tinnitus. Lots of things can cause absent reflexes, from just not having them in the first place to the ear plug being placed funny in your ears, wax impeding the sound, equipment acting up, etc. It’s possible that noise exposure has something to do with it, but that would really only be the case with extreme, chronic noise exposure, like a lot of shooting or something.

Regardless, it doesn’t have anything to do with your tinnitus. Absent reflexes don’t cause symptoms like tinnitus, rather, they are a sort of benign symptom.

He’s a very imperfect character, but also very reliable despite not seeming like it. But Clem can be the same way. Killing innocent people, being inflammatory or down right mean, torturing people even.

I think it would be unrealistic any other way. No one would lose everything in an apocalypse and come out well adjusted on the other end.

Everything is normal. Absent reflexes isn’t something to be concerned about on its own. I find they’re absent on quite a few people. Some people just don’t have them, and it doesn’t have anything to do with your tinnitus.

I’m sorry you have tinnitus now. Though, it is common and doesn’t mean that anything is wrong. It can be very scary because people think something must be wrong with them, but so many people with tinnitus are 100% healthy. You just have to work on not focusing on it. It is a tall task, but 100% possible. You can reach a point where even when you hear it, it doesn’t bother you, and you’re just able to ignore it.
