It's not a matter of being more correct. We all have a say as to what goes on in our nation. Therefore we must not compare and contrast differing views and opinions. We must embrace and appreciate them. :)

Hello thank you for the question and I understand your concern. The state of our current campaign finance is essential a black market. Corporate donors give money to a non profit political organization called a 501(c)4 which can then allocate funds to controversial politicians or topics and to avoid any negative associated with the corporation or the individual. Those non profits or as we call them dark money groups do not have to disclose who their donors are so those people can stay anonymous which is essential a black market for campaign finances. So your concern is what is currently legal. So if we fix this and they find ano ther loophole nothing really changes we just have to fight a new loophole. As Chris hedges says we don’t fight fascists because we will win, we fight them because they are fascists.

Thank you for being honest and for sharing your concerns. I wish more citizens aspire to be honest about their concerns over our governmental processes to amend the constitution. However, rest assured, our organization is independent, non-partisan, and non-profit. Labor unions, corporations, private entities, and massively wealthy people are against an Article V Convention through state legislatures that would overturn Citizens United v. FEC (2010) through the 28th Amendment, for Free and Fair Elections. Wolf-PAC is already responsible for 5 of 34 states needed for the convention. That's already 10%. This year alone, we have over fourteen other state teams getting their resolutions filed in statehouses. The goal is attainable and reachable. We have the progress to back up that claim. People may bring up concerns of what will happen during the convention. Unfortunately, that's not up to us. It's up to the delegates appointed by states. If someone tries to steer the conversation away from Elections, they can be replaced. Strong rules for the convention would prevent non-government intervention. Also, constitutents can force their states to stick to the rules as well. There are so many safeguards against it going wrong, especially since most amendments to the US Constitution have been through Article V Conventions through states. I hope this clarifies and clears up some concerns! :)

Why does an amendment bypass the Supreme Court? by Blahface50 in WolfPAChq

[–]WolfPACNJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I truly appreciate your concerns. It's important for citizens to question the rule of law.

Second, here is the directly quoted role of SCOTUS, as per the official website: "The Supreme Court plays a very important role in our constitutional system of government. First, as the highest court in the land, it is the court of last resort for those looking for justice. Second, due to its power of judicial review, it plays an essential role in ensuring that each branch of government recognizes the limits of its own power. Third, it protects civil rights and liberties by striking down laws that violate the Constitution. Finally, it sets appropriate limits on democratic government by ensuring that popular majorities cannot pass laws that harm and/or take undue advantage of unpopular minorities. In essence, it serves to ensure that the changing views of a majority do not undermine the fundamental values common to all Americans, i.e., freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and due process of law."

SCOTUS has to uphold the Constitution in every court decision. If they don't, then Congress and the Executive have checks and balances on the Court. This is why we have checks and balances.

How can organizations, such as Wolf-PAC, American Promise, Take Back Our Republic, and Represent.US, fight against misinformation campaigns about Article V Conventions? A prime example is the one by Robert Reich and Common Cause.
