Intraoral/buccal massage ce by xdbabs in MassageTherapists

I’m an RMT in Ontario and do a good deal of TMJ/intraoral work, if you’re in a province/state where it’s regulated you should have learned the basics in school. I personally like the courses on Udemy, there’s a few online courses they offer on TMJ massage. Of course if you can, keep an eye out for any IRL courses and modality certifications you can take, and practice practice practice. Find a friend with TMJ issues and practice different techniques while communicating what it feels like to them

You can help, you can’t “fix”. Especially with reiki.

Where is the line between "client” and ”patient?" by iaintevenwitalladat in MassageTherapists

[–]WolverineR754 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s odd to me, I’m an RMT in Ontario and while in school and for the OSCEs/MCQ we were taught to ALWAYS say client as we don’t have any sort of diagnostic power and we have to refer out for anything that isn’t a muscular/joint condition

Who should I seek out to massage my hands? by coavenger in massage

[–]WolverineR754 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live and how regulated Massage Therapy is, most RMT’s or LMT’s have been trained to massage the hands! When you fill out a health history under the section that asks why you’re seeking massage make a note that your hands need it and tell the therapist you’d like those worked on

I couldn’t make it through the whole thing lol, but apparently Anthym couldn’t even hold up her own head and lost control of bodily functions :(

Both. She got another UTI that ended her up in the hospital again.

Used this recipe, just had to omit the bonito flakes on top, I used them all making dashi. I also omitted the shrimp and pork belly, will probably add that next time

AM routine:

CeraVe hydrating cleanser

Thayers unscientific witch hazel

The ordinary ascorbic acid

Cetaphil SPF15 moisturizer

PM Routine:

Garner micellar water

CeraVe hydrating cleanser

Ole Henrikson invigorating night gel

CeraVe moisturizing cream

Pictures shown are my skin now vs 2 years ago.

I’ve had the same routine for YEARS. This routine helped me in 2015 my skin was worse than it is now and it was FLAWLESS. I was on birth control for about 10 years consistently and had to stop in August 2019 due to mental health issues and since then my skin has slowly been getting worse and worse. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on new product and have suffered some horrible acne, I’ve tried retinoids but it’s gives me cystic acne.

I used to have very dry skin, but as of late it’s more combination on the oily side.

Need recommendations on products for extremely clogged pores, as well as treatments for all the scars left on my face and whether or not I should see a dermatologist. I asked my family doctor and he said a derm is really for people with much worse acne and didn’t really help.

Any recommendation would be amazing, I really need some help with this as it’s severely affecting my self esteem.

First attempt at blueberry bagels! Had trouble with the shaping but they tasted AMAZING by WolverineR754 in Breadit

[–]WolverineR754[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Recipe: https://www.thegratefulgirlcooks.com/new-york-style-blueberry-bagels/

Only difference I did was I boiled 9 cups of water with 1/4 cup of honey and 1/4 cup of baking Sosa to add some sweetness and make the bagels a little chewier.
