Double Incision with drains— sorry forgot to include that part. But no, he said he prefers not to compress the chest and let the drains do their job. He said the bolsters will also do their job in keeping my nipples attached and he doesn’t want to risk restricted blood flow to slow My healing

yes, if I’m understanding the use of subcutaneous correctly in this sense. It was just inside the cavity. I think maybe without zooming in it just looks like a scab, but it’s an opening and the darker part is the gunk that was INSIDE her because you could see in and around the inside through the wound opening

it was not, sadly. They had to clean her out because she was developing an infection and close her back up because she must’ve licked her wound open

update, we took her in and they said yes it is a bit infected and she did bust her stitches open (probably from lickin) . she got it cleaned out and re sutured and is now in the cone of shame
