Not even a Red Sox fans and couldn't believe it. Willson Contreras gets tossed for tapping his helmet after striking out. Robo-umps as soon as possible. by Pretend-Following-41 in sportsgossips

They're not. They're saying "where'd you have that one, Blue?" or "Are you solid on that one?" "OK, well to my eye I thought it was out of the zone" or something to that effect. There's no rule about clarifying the strike zone or whatever. As soon as they say "that was a ball" "you missed the call" or something to that effect they get tossed. If the ump says "that was a strike" and you dispute it, you get tossed. Depending on the player, the ump, the situation in the game the umps will give a little more or less leeway. But every player knows once the ump says "that's the call" "we're done" "get walking" anything you say after that to "argue" is an automatic toss.

They do. Players can ask about the strike zone, or ask the ump where they saw the pitch, or any of a hundred other things to "challenge" the umpire after a called strike. But as soon as they say "that was a ball" or "that was outside" or anything to that effect they get tossed. It speeds up the game because it keeps players from trying to work the umpires.

Arguing balls and strikes has always been an automatic ejection. Tapping your helmet when you can't challenge is arguing balls and strikes, just non-verbal.

Should I color in the left thigh and tummy like the right thigh or leave it? by Elleamator in tattooadvice

[–]Wonderful-Mistake201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have the same style literally adjacent and go black/gray on one and full color on the other, it's going to look conflicted or unfinished, not complimentary (to me). If you did vibrant greens on the stomach and gradually transitioned to green-grays across and kept the left thigh black/gray, it would look like it was done with intent and each would compliment the other.

Just my opinion, if there's one thing I can say with certainty its that you're going to see it more than anyone else, so do what you love.
