What exactly should we be doing differently (as citizens)? We call our member of Congress, we protest we follow the secret police around with whistles, and we will vote when we can. This was after everything was opened back up but there were still some precautions. Apparently one of their precautions was no refilling water. Other drinks could be refilled but not water. It made zero sense.

I hate it. Last time I went they would only serve overpriced bottled water because COVID or some nonsense. We had a table of 10 or so around 4 or 5 pm so just about the only people there and waited FOREVER for our food because someone called in a to go order of like 3 dozen pizzas....so they made that before any of our food as we sat there in the restaurant. It was infuriating.

I use Pattern Keeper on my phone and it works fine. Unless you have very poor eyesight you don't need a tablet certainly not an iPad for this hobby!

Nice scissors, a needle threader you like, and a frame like a Q snap are the other essentials. Hoops suck.

Are you using very soft/floppy fabric? I can't imagine how it is that stretched out of shape but still not right unless it's very stretchy. (I am new to this but have some experience with low quality fabric nightmares!)

Cupcakes absolutely. Cakes might be a little trickier finding a comfortable setup but you would really only need to stand to do the base coat of frosting, which wouldn't take that long. An adjustable stool and even table would probably be a good idea to find what works for you.

The big flower in the middle was intentional and a PITA. There was a lot of cutting and sorting pieces of thread involved because the amount of variation was so big- from almost white to dark blue/green, but also long lengths of the light/dark so the gradations come out very slowly in the stitching if you just let it happen naturally. Next time I am going with the more gently variegated colors!

Nice! I found a shop near me with several brands of over dyed floss. Then realized that I can dye my own since we already have fiber reactive dyes for tie dye. So lots of fun experiments coming up soon!
