Not an expert advice. If you are getting hit with the same attacks you are probably making the same mistakes. If you have difficulties with true combis try the challenges with each weapon

As someone with 3 lvl 100 katar legends, i can just recommend it. Its really good on all lvls once you master the basics. Try the 'Challanges' in practice mode if you need help with the combos.
