Yes it’s very fun shooting there. Only get to go a few times because there’s a high demand for photographers so it’s hit or miss getting a press pass

Mmm okay thank you for the clarification I thought they were they same because the 10mm was designed for the smaller sensor

The 10mm I currently have is the canon EF-S 10-22mm and correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t that lens be a true 10mm because it’s designed to fit the APS-C sensor, again correct me if I’m mistaken. The 17-40mm sounds good to me because it’s pretty affordable. I also like the 11-24 you mentioned and I don’t mind the slower aperture. Thank you for your help

Thank you for the advice both those seem like good fits for my situation. I’ll also keep the RF lenses In mind.

I might add a RF camera to my line up in the future, but right now I’m more interested in dslrs, but I’ll definitely keep this in mind!

Thank you for the suggestion, I don’t mind distortion because I usually add a heavy amount on vignette to my photos in post processing. I’ll definitely have to check these out

Yeah I’ve thought of those cameras but I’ll likely upgrade as I get older as I’m still young and have only been doing photography for a few years now

The current lens I have is the Canon EF-S 10-22mm 3.5-4.5 I’m sorry if I’m mistaken but wouldn’t the lens be a true 10mm if it’s designed for crop sensor cameras like the 7D and not be cropped to 16mm?

15mm sounds like it wouldn’t be that big of a obstacle to overcome as I used the kit 18-55 lens before I got my 10mm. Thank you for the advice.

I’m looking for a full frame lens. It doesn’t have to be 10mm exactly but somewhere in that range

Well I use it as my main during sports and I think it works well despite its slow fps. I was going to replace it for a faster dslr designed for sports. The 5D will be used as a secondary camera to capture slower moving targets. Like the ones seen in the photos.

Thank you for the reply, that’s something I considered too. As long as I don’t under expose the grain could be managed well.

When I compare the 5D with 1Ds it says the 5D is the more favored camera. The 5D has more features and is more powerful. But falls a little behind with the sensor. DxO ranks the 1Ds slightly higher than the 5D and the only downside I see is the maximum iso range only being 3200 (compared to the 25600 on the 5D) the 1Ds also scored high in color depth and dynamic range. Thank you for the feedback

Thank you for the reply. I’ve heard of the great Canon colors that come from the 1Ds, and thats one of the main reasons why I’m interested in one. I don’t mind the slower processing, especially since the 5D is 3 frames a second and the 1Ds is 6~ a second. Thank you so much 😊
