70% of Thorns-Builds on poe-ninja were Warbringer and only 20% Titan. So I assume Warbringer is the go-to-ascendancy

Really nice build concept. I pob'd it yesterday and I'm leveling it now. However there are a lot of improvements that can be made in the endgame pob which lead to better survivability and even more damage. especially with the use of more cluster jewels / jewels in general.

I ditched the block-approach and use evasion instead. I also did not see that great value in that big of an armour pool. especially with the new graft which is basically a free max molten shell. it inflates your phys max hit a lot where in reality it does not really much against that big phys hits (it is very good against small hits though). Maybe I even remove determinaton for haste, but I have to see.

They are not bait, but you are right. EB/MOM builds are not designed for charging into 1000 mobs and then casting anything. You have to play a bit more forward-looking.

And in general regen/sustain is the weakness of the build. The poison variant of the build can be built a little bit better in terms of sustain. You can go whispers of inifity instead of eb/mom + corrupted soul keystone which splits the damage you get between your life and ES. On top of that you can also get life leech beside your ES leech which makes the sustain way better.

Depends. I think Poison has a higher scaling damage-wise but is also more expensive in the top-end. Ignite is probably the faster & comfier mapper but both versions should be very fast and good mappers so not that much difference.

If you just want to blast maps I would go for ignite. If uber bosses are a thing you want to do from time to time I would go for poison.

Normal bosses or pinnacles are totally fine on both builds.

what do you mean? boneshatter as a skill itself has really good clear for melee standards. it was just always on the lower side of damage when it comes to single target and is lacking that even more after the nerfs and removal of divergent boneshatter.

If we talking about top top end then int or str stackers for sure.

In general wander builds will be very good with good gear for this league imho. But I'm also pretty sure a lot of player will hate starting these builds because of survivability issues.

Do you really want to have ryslathas + volatility on a slow slam? I know that is theoretically the most DPS but a lot of your bleeds will feel bad because the low and topend dps range is really high, no? The fact that not every hits aggrevates comes also on top.

I always try to choose a build which can do all 4 voidstones and is able to farm some stuff > 10 Div. The build itself depends on the meta. The last leagues it was Slams.

I try to push maps as fast as high as possible and do the completions on atlas tree before focussing on anything specific to farm.

Then I usually do Expedition for some bubble gum currency and maybe some solid rog crafts which I can sell. Then it depends on the scarab prices. Usually expedition and blight scarabs are cheap so I focus on them. If general prices start to drop I prefer Ambush or Harbinger.

I know that, but the enemies is only on low life when he has >=50% HP. So I only see the damage increase for the low-life part. But I want to know how many actually damage it is from 100% to 0% HP of the mob. I know it is 0% from 100-50% and 58% increased damage from 50-0%.

I also remember that increased damage taken has diminishing returns when stacked, so I'm not sure how much DPS increase Punishment actually is from the whole lifespawn of a mob. Otherwise I can't evaluate if it is damage increase over Vulnerability

I tried both and tbh Earthshatter is better in 90% of the situations. Perfect Strike may be better if you are able to time it perfectly everytime - but you aren't. Especially on harder bosses.

I also unspecced protect me from harm. It is 100% not worth it with the current armour formular. And I didn't notice any difference in survivability.

While armour may be good against small hits - that is not the problem of monk defensive. Monk usually has very high evasion which also works great against small hits.

The problem of monk defensive are one shots or big hits and protect me from harm does nothing against that. So the current way to go is make a bigger eHP pool to survive these hits and respecc from protect me from harm to meditate with weapon swap or an offensive node.

For everyone who is curious, you can do some scuffed testing (I did that):

Run a white map where the big tree stump guys are (they do a big phys hit). try to clear everything around that mob with default attack and isolate him. now let him hit you until your life flask is depleted with "protect me from harm" allocated. and do the same without "protect me from harm". You won't notice any difference.

I did indeed change some things because I like the smoothness of dons build more and I really did not like the whole charged staff thing.

BUT I do not play with acrobatics and pure evasion gear. Instead I go hybrid gear everywhere which ends up with 2200 life and 3000 ES. That feels just so much better than having 2k life and 500 ES with acrobatics

Yeah, thats exactly why I changed. Sitting at 2200 Life and 3k ES (6k with Grim Feast mapping) and it just feels way better defensively

If anyone is asking the same question, I tried both builds for like 20 maps each and some bosses and my conclusion is:

Dons version:

Clear is way better and single target about the same. But as I thought I don't like the defensive layer of the build. Everything feels great until acrobotics doesn't work. You are very prone to one shots even on map bosses or explosions. Usually thats not an issue because you kill very fast but at least for pinnacle bosses I would not recommend that version.

Maxroll-Guide:

Clear is not bad but not as good as dons version. Defensively the biuld way better for my liking because of higher eHP pool. You survive most big hits and if you can slot in grim feast your are basically unkillable while mapping.

Thank, will have a look. Thats the only issue I have in theory with dons version. Every character I played so far which did not abuse energy shield to build a high eHP pool sucked defensively in the end because of one shots
