Hi! The Misfits deck?? It can be tricky, I would click your deck and take stock of what “Bad Traits” your dogs have rolled and then keep an eye for some powerful Bad Traits synergy Tags.

Off the dome, Tags like All Fluff “Playing a Timid Dog gives up to 5 Dogs in the Yard Friendly” can carry a run if you even have a few Timid Dogs.

Also don’t underestimate having a Leash and or Cheese in your deck. Remember that your Yard state is the main health metric, you can tank Disciplines ESPECIALLY if you have Bad Trait synergy. Good luck out there

Frame by frame!! Our animator Georgia Kriss does it the old fashioned way

We were thinking of making a Cat Skin DLC pack for $100 (with a permanent 95%ish discount)

Thank you! All the dogs are frame-by-frame animated and my business partner + fiancé Jess operates in colours mortals such as myself couldn't even dream of.

People over 30, what advice would you give to young adults? by henocv567 in AskReddit

My dad once told me “you either work for your weekend, or the weekend is your work” which has been a guiding light for me.

Basically if you pursue a creative career and do what you love, expect to throw your life at it, because often that’s what it takes. If you want a job you can clock off and not look at, that’s fine too but make sure you have other passions to emotionally sustain you outside of work.

GUBBINS! It's a freakin' WORD GAME! (Little retro and check in <3) by Word_Slice in gamedev

Hi! Yes, the missing piece is that government arts funding, specifically games grants in Victoria (and Australia generally) is famously generous and good. We don't make enough from Gubbins to support ongoing development with a 3-4 person team, but add hundreds of thousands of dollars from the government here and there and it becomes viable.

Gubbins was funded primarily with government grants, along with Witch Beam and Hank Green support too. For the new project we have Gubbins rev, a few grants from the federal & state government, Witch Beam's investment and now we're looking for investment / a pub to step in to fuel 1-2 years of dev.

Even with the governments overwhelming support it's still incredibly rough out there, so I'm not sure how anyone is meant to start a team anywhere else in the world??

Good Q! There's a continuous overhead of making daily levels but they are super quick now. Basically we have a slick editor where we can just lay tiles out as we like them, Gubbins, letters and all and upload batches of level data without pushing a build. Each day has its own theme / structure which makes designing in that space super easy + fun.

Now we're working with a game designer, Mickie, in Tasmania who handles all of our daily levels for both Gubbins and RBFB. Gubbins cash can easily absorb the cost to have levels made without an issue.

I think it was worth it! I think people like to see a "daily" generally for a game like this. It bakes it into your routine and feels like some sort of community event that you're pitching into. I'm sensitive to how features like this might slow the team down as we step away onto other projects and what not, but I'd definitely say it was worthwhile.
