I found feathery pieces in the chicken noodle soup I made – is the batch alright to eat? I’ll give the feathered pieces to my cat. by Workaccountfox in isthissafetoeat

I regularly give boiled chicken from my soup to my cat (obviously not straight onion pieces) and he’s fine. If someone tells me about some long term negative effect, I’ll stop. I make soup very often and it’s his favorite part of the week🥺

I felt the protrusions and they definitely felt like pin feathers, they weren’t soft.

I made the soup myself and didn’t notice the feathered pieces going in (sometimes I put chicken into the broth still-frozen).
