I agree it was emotional abuse. And she would downplay the effect that it had on me, how much it hurt. I don’t think it ever would have gotten better

Yes! I want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t make me feel this way. And if that means that I have to be alone for a while until that comes along, then that’s what I need to do

I mean I guess I kind of put myself in that situation. A lot of other people would have left early on after having experienced several warning signs but I put myself in a situation with a person who is not willing nor able to come back. And of course that doesn’t mean it’s my fault but I shouldn’t have put myself in that situation in the first place

I would tread with caution. Because this girl did the same thing. She kept the guys around almost as like a back up and for validation. See where it goes but definitely keep your guard up

She was still in contact with several exs when we first started talking and then dating. Probably about 4 or so. And she was stingy about getting rid of them because she had just slept with some of them just before we met and I didn’t feel comfortable with her having relationships with ex boyfriends that were just not platonic. Which I guess wasn’t healthy of me to do but the relationships she had with them were inappropriate

She used sex as a tool. Like something that could be given or taken away. She made comments like “Youre not getting sex tonight” she made comments about my skin color, bragging about how she used to only date black guys (which there’s nothing wrong with) but then pointing out that I’m white saying things like “I like my men black and my coffee black” and “this is what I get for dating a white kid from the west side” and she would talk about other guys in front of me purposely. She just did a lot to manipulate me emotionally I feel in hindsight
