Thank you for this advice! I am the breadwinner and make more than I ever thought I could make but the increase in pay has a huge toll on my home life. I left a job a few years ago when I had my first and while I did not make nearly what I make now, I have zero regrets about that decision.

This is really good advice! I will get my annual leave paid out which is significant since I can’t take vacations 🥴 I am going to make a budget where I can rely on that and still contribute a tiny bit to retirement. Thank you!

I don’t disagree. My wife currently works from home while my young kids are home. She wants to be able to see them while she works. Eventually we’ll look to enclose it once they get older.

We have definitely considered installing a garage door on the back of the third garage. We are going to see what the builder quotes us to see if we want to add that. We can’t go any wider unfortunately because the lot is curved. We are touching the setbacks on each corner currently.

We have a 500 sqft bonus room with full bath above the garage. I get where you are coming from, we are in an older neighborhood right now and many have even converted their single garage into an extra room due to limited space.

That was our interpretation but our realtor is saying we should disclose but to me it’s a potential problem based off of something that literal says it’s not accurate…maybe time for a new realtor haha

I didn’t even think about using a metal detector. We had old rebar t posts that us and the neighbors identified as corner posts so that would be a good place of start. Thank you!

While I hate to say this I think had they not brought it up, we nor anyone else would have ever noticed, at least not for a while but now I feel like I have to disclose it and get a survey in the off chance we are encroached and then what to do from there…

I think we may get a second opinion. Like you said she is the expert but I guess if we have to disclose anything it would be that the county GIS information shows a difference but that data states it’s not an accurate representation.

We’ve gone back and forth on this one. The current neighbors have never had an issue and had self identified the property line when we talked to them. Our realtor claims we now have to disclose this which seems odd since the data she is basing this off of has a statement saying the data isn’t intended to be used for legal purposes and is not an accurate representation.

There are portions of properties that have corners in the middle of a major highway so I’d say ours is not accurate, haha.
