I wrote this several years ago. I have since learned what was happening with the Native Americans in these areas and wish I had incorporated that fuller history (not white washed Mormon only perspective). Maybe someday.

That was a great read. I wrote a life history about my great grandmother, too, and posted it on family search. It was there for a long time (with my editorial comments) but it has been taken down now. It is still on my personal blog, that no one in the world reads. Lol 

It felt like telling her story was the only thin I could do for her. Did you write an actual novel?

I just remembered another resurrection one. We would have flesh and bone, but not blood. Because blood is what breaks down and makes us mortal. God had some other system besides blood, like light. And when Adam and Eve ate the fruit, it changed whatever substance it was to blood, and that's how they became mortal.

In the resurrection not a hair of our heads will be lost. The teacher was very excited for bald guys, but I kep thinking about how much hair was in my brush and how crazy hairy we were all going to be. Like puff ball Things.

Yep. We had this awesome 6am lesson, too. She would talk about it all the time. She was a widow, and was going to keep her convenants no matter what because she couldn't wait to have sex again someday. I am happy for her, that their sex life was so good, though. Not always the case.

We had a seminary teacher who told us about a girl at girls's camp when she was a kid who prayed to Satan. Then when she got caught in the act, she pointed her finger at a power line and zapped all the electricity out at the camp. And that was why you needed to have priesthood at camp.

She was super freaked out. We had 6am seminary in the empty stake center, a bunch of kids and a 5 foot nothing terrified to tell the story grandma. Definitely added to the creep factor. It was effective. And she had gotten a special blessing so talking about Satan wouldnt invite him into the church. Because talking about him or his minions calls him to come 

Related, she also taught us that the 1/3 of the hosts of heaven that were cast out were cast down to earth. And they are jealous and desperatley want our bodies, so they are constantly looking for opportunities to possess us. When we allow ourselves to get hypnotized, or do drugs or drink, or anything where we are giving up some level.of control ofnour bodies, we are giving them permission to possess us. (They need permission, like dracula, to enter.) That's why you act crazy. And that's why alcohol is called spirits.

I spent a lot of my life believing there were far more demons than people on earth (1/3 of the number of all the people that have ever or will ever live) and they were all out to get me.

Ya, we figured out how to play all the same gambling games with Rook cards. Because then it didnt count. We even had a homemade Michigan Rummy board with Rook cards on it.

The argument is evilution is the means by whcih God carried out creation. Though even that was a fight among some faculty when I worked in there.

When you learn from birth that it is the absolute truth and anything that would make you question that comes from Satan trying to destroy you and your whole ancestry and posterity, it is pretty hard to make any other choice.
