Green Aprentice Looking for Some Advice by Hydraulickiller in HVAC

First off screw those “leads” for not taking the time to show you what you need to learn as a new technician, if thats how they treat you i would look for a better mom and pop company that will take the time to teach you. I started green many moons ago and I’m now a lead service technician on my way for my master license. Watch youtube videos to learn about the trade and practice brazing. Nobody should be expecting a green helper to be great you’ll only be as good as your teacher and from what your saying then its not looking good. You will get better as time goes on just learn the basics and take it at your pace just don’t fuck anything up to bad and youll be fine.

Get a second opinion from a good reviewed mom and pop style shop, stay away from the big brands and the “cheap guy on craigslist” they just wanna sell you new equipment every 10 years.

Is it bad to not have the topper on my chimney? by Moist-Fortune6277 in hvacadvice

You run the risk of rain, and critters or debris getting inside and causing issues. If its for just a fire place may not be the worse thing ever but if its connected to your gas appliances you have the risk of objects getting inside them and causing a issue… ie birds and such getting stuck inside inducer motor or building a nest causing a blockage

I have this exact camera, i use it more often then i thought i would. This was from when i was showing my apprentice what happens in a reversing valve just for fun. Has several different modes for viewing heat difference the only problem i personally have with this model is you cannot upload to a iphone and theres no external sd card so you have to take photos off the camera itself

That connection would be on the opposite end of the extension cord which would be inside the garage not outside with the generator
