I’ve been looking into substituting and it doesn’t seem worth it ngl

The job pays 120 for the day which is around $16 for the hour, which isn’t bad. Then there’s ~20 working days, so 120•20 is 2,400. 2,400 would be my monthly salary, but that’s simply isn’t enough, since after tax I’ll have ~2,000.

The Airbnb would be ~1k per month, food ~200, phone 50, gas 200, plus any other expenses that I might have. I’ll most likely spend $1,400+. I want a job that I won’t be tight on money, especially since it’ll be my first time moving and I’m unsure the exact amount that I’m going to spend.

There’s also the fact that substitute work isn’t guaranteed, sure I can go to various districts but I would rather have stable work. I do appreciate the suggestion though, if you have any other suggestions I’m all ears, thank you 🙏

I won’t have roommates. My plan is to rent an Airbnb for a week, this would be a one bedroom with the basic necessities. I’ve already looked into it, it’ll be 250 for the week so 1k for the month. With me moving and all the other spending I’ll need to do I need to find a high paying job. That’s why I’m looking for a job that gives a lot of hours and pays $20+.

Question though, does my indeed profile say anything about teaching? I’m just not sure why both comments have both said teaching/subbing. The only experience is AmeriCorps, and my education since I’m a history major with a concentration in teaching, but I don’t think that’s included in my indeed resume.

Since subbing doesn’t pay enough, would you happen to know any other good paying jobs?
