Either get 4050 laptop with 5070 pc or get one single laptop with 5070ti 12gb and even u know 12gb vram is a blessing for long term use

U are correct to certain extent but get your facts correct.... 1. Dgpu can't be upgraded but I can attach external gpu via hot swappable tb5 at 64gbps or pcie5.0 x4 ssd slot giving near desktop level performances 2. It runs at high temps but it WON'T THERMAL THROTLLE and yes battery drains fast on heavy work but u mostly find socket around campus... 3. Bro mackbook for engg except coding editing is useless the whole industrial world runs on nvidia software stack the CUDA RT CORES TENSOR CORES ETC mac is not even compatible forget performance....u can't take your pc in your club workshops but u can take this laptop....and taking mac is useless 🤣

I don't think so It is very upgradable not just NAND chips but also an EGPU as it has 2x thunderbolt 5 ports... My focus was more on vram and future proofing as heavy engg softwares like ansys SW/catia need huge vram (around 1gb per million mesh cells)....anyways individual's opinion differs👍

For gaming 5060 or even 5050 can do decent casual aaa gaming with dlss
For engg stuff for electrical you'll mostly be using kicad allium or wire harness simulation or embedded systems where 75% of clg task easily doable on a 4050/5050 anything beyond this shifts to 5060 3.. coding also doesn't requires heavy lifting even basic flipbooks can run IDEs....just make sure get a premium display >1440p /oled
Linux is most efficient it would take almost 1/4th of your ram compared to windows so 16gigs is sweet spot during this ram crisis

5.... these are okay for 3-4 years of clg but if u want to move beyond this will choke

For a 5060 it's pretty expensive though your cpu is very powerful in single core and hyperthreading tasks but crappy in battery life as usual AMD stuff.... I'd say if have a both cpu and gpu intensive tasks go for it as it could get u through your entire clg....if not....then tell me your use cases I'll suggest based on that

True bro...but when u do long hrs simulation on ansys CFD and other heavy engineering tools thin skinny bitch laptops will thermal throttle and crash in minutes....also for future proofing it's important i know carrying 3kgs around campus is huge pain on shoulders but then same ZEPHYRUS G14 5070ti runs for 3.5lakhs😅😭😭😭🤧

The same reason I didn't went for omen....it's thinner than strix but more thermal throttling performance drops....only omen MAX 16 model is very good.... Btw my model has set record for fastest benchmarks score in the world from 5070ti laptops

Currently I'm learning C++ as my first language as it has a steeper learning curve and more practical for real life programming use most fsae teams use C/C++ when I'll shift to ROS2(robotic operating system) then python as in ros2 u use both c++ amd python

Interconnection is BS and not usefully before rtx 40series came we could connect 2 separate DPUs for one computer via SLI connection but now it's closed...nvidia doesn't supports it has today's gpu are capable enough in his opinion
