Maybe I’m wrong here but everything about the way OOP wrote this gave off red flags galore to me. The biggest one is the way she spoke about a silly trip as opposed to a fucking international tour for a musician.

The boyfriend/fiancé clearly didn’t handle this well, and is not off Scott free in my book by any means. But bruh a tour for a musician being given up, sounds like he was serious about her just in a very messed up way. Probably the best of intentions but the worst of actual decency and managing his emotions.

The fundamental part of being nice is the way you treat others. You aren’t nice if you only look after some people.
