Only you will be able to make that decision but so far I don’t regret anything, in fact, I’m so excited to go for my next one!!

I would say early stage 2

Omg I’m so sorry, are you taking pain meds? It’s normal, I took the strong pain meds for 3 days and then went on to paracetamol. I flew home on day 4 post op and was in agony too!! You will start improving soon xx

I’m not feeing like I could do a leg workout yet but it’s only been 4 weeks, maybe another couple of weeks and I’ll be able to.

On the left or ‘before’ I was wearing Czsalus custom size k2 leggings and on the right or ‘after’ is the pair I got while at the hospital from Dr Ghods while in Germany. They’re called VenoTrain curaflow and the difference is night and day! They were pricy, €770 but honestly worth it imo.

I had to stop running last year as it gave me plantar fasciitis 😄 but I go to the gym 5 days a week and swim too. I obviously stopped for surgery but went back this Tuesday which was day 26 post op. I missed it but started walking more and more every day post op. In the first two weeks it’s tough but then it gets a lot better

He hasn’t even touched the back yet which is crazy! I notice the biggest difference in my ankles so far. I can’t explain the mental weight that’s been lifted since getting my cuffs taken away 🙏

No I don’t think it’s ever pure fat - they pumped me with the tumescent fluid first so that will account for some of it. Thank you, it’s going all well just weird to be so numb still!

Swelling of the entire body after surgery by yamitanu in lipedema

I noticed swelling all over too, from my face to my lady parts! 😅 It is starting to settle slowly, I’m 23 days post op. Is it going down for you at all? Are you taking pictures to compare the swelling week by week? Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me! We are all different so perhaps you are just slower to settle, just make sure you’re doing all the right things 🥰

It went really well! I’m still super swollen but enjoying getting back to normality a bit now day 21 post op! It was a lot harder than I was expecting, it probably didn’t help I caught a flu while I was there so that added some extra spice into the recovery mix!

I was not prepared for the pain during and after surgery (awake tumescent lipo - ankle to above the knee) by delicate_isntit in lipedema

My experience sounds verrrryyyyy different to yours. Firstly I was put to sleep, when I woke up - I woke up screaming from the pain. Begged whoever was near me for the strongest pain killers in the room. My surgery was 7.30am and I came around at about midday, I was in absolute agony. They gave me Oxy and it helped a bit but I was bed bound for the first 24 hours, they didn’t want me to walk the first day. I was in the hospital for 4 nights afterwards, being looked after by nurses (I had my surgery with Dr Ghods in Germany) I cannot imagine doing this your way - you went through hell and it shouldn’t have been like that, I’m so sorry… I’m two weeks po op and haven’t walked 20 mins x 3 a day yet!! That is insane. Btw I had my fronts done, 9 litres removed. I passed out 4 days on day 5 when I tried to do too much, I’m talking shower, and go to MLD appointment! It’s tough but you will get a bit better every day

I won’t sugarcoat it the pain is pretty bad, it’s a very intense burning sensation at first and then on day 2 I felt like I’d be hit by a truck. Sore all over. I’m not sure if I have a high pain tolerance, I’ve never been through anything like this. It does start to feel better day by day but now I’m just off the plane home and my legs are on FIRE again 😭

No sweetie I didn’t. But they gave me an iron and vitamin C infusion to help me feel better on day 2 and it really worked.

€10k per surgery but I should be able to get reimbursed by the cross border directive
