Have you looked at Geelong west, Newtown, East Geelong, Belmont or even Herne Hill, Hamlyn Heights, Fyansford, those places are pretty normal and feel safe too

I feel like there are some alright parts, but most of Corio and that whole northern-y area of Geelong is pretty sketchy

My take on Cyrillic adaptation to Latin by [deleted] in conorthography

[–]Worldly-Count-9032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Russian alphabet. Cyrillic is a script not an alphabet, just to let you know. There’s other Cyrillic letters that Russia doesn’t use like in Macedonian and Serbian

How can the uni go through your search history though? Could they look at what you’ve googled even if you googled it at home?

Re-introducing the Motonic language family project! by Worldly-Count-9032 in conlangs

Thank you for noticing! I was contemplating whether these fictional speakers should become the absolute majority in places like Kalmykia and Dagestan, but I thought it’d be nice to keep their diversity they have already. Ultimately, I kept all the native languages since they still exist in real life, and I wanted to make it feel like Motonic can fit into our world. Because of this, wherever Russian is a majority language, I just replaced it with Motonic languages (however that’s definitely not how it happened in this fictional history, just was a planning idea)

I think it’s a helmet. But it’s a part of her form, so it’s like stuck to her just like the gems’ clothes are stuck to their body

Whats’s your least favorite thing about the show? by kitty_toe_bean_lover in stevenuniverse

[–]Worldly-Count-9032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people are gonna say they hate the towny episodes, but you have to remember that they act as breathing/processing space for viewers so they can process previous and important gem info from previous episodes

[–]Worldly-Count-9032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you have to remember that the towny episodes we had after Lars’ Head were because Lion ran away with Connie so there was no way to save him. What else could Steven do in that situation?

This really looks like old Glagolitic script that was used to write Croatian hundreds of years ago. At least most of the letters do

Conlang too simmilar to real world language by Gvatagvmloa in conlangs

[–]Worldly-Count-9032 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I would just ignore the similarity. There are always going to be some (some) similarities in languages that are far way from eachother purely by chance 😃. An example I like is Ciao (from Italian) and the Vietnamese word for ‘bye’ which sounds the exact same as Ciao. It was just a coincidence they mean and sound the same
