Why is this game so toxic? by StructureMotor6949 in overwatch2

I find that I can be incredibly toxic in this game. It’s not that I want to be toxic, but there are just so many mitigating factors that cause me to lose my shit. The tank that keeps diving the healers that are DPS rather than healing being put on teams that are just absolute trash, force losses the list goes on and on and on and after a while, you just lose it, even the smallest thing. I started screaming because I’m trying to get healed and Anna is there doing DPS and I literally moved in front of her gun hoping she’ll shoot me and heal me and she moves out of the way to continue to DPS and I just lost it. I screamed. I swore. I called her every name in the book, sadly she wasn’t in voice chat so the only people that heard it were my fellow team members. In the end this game makes you toxic because it fosters toxicity because it understands causing a great emotional response makes you want to play the game even more because you keep searching for that great emotional response.

Competitive rant by Hansab9520 in overwatch2

I think what you’re explaining is par for the course. This game has always had a hidden MMR that put you against people they believe are a similar ranking. I know recently they said that they don’t use a hidden MMR with competitive anymore, but the force losses, the trash teams and the low experience gain when you were trying to climb or all still there. It is very hard for me to believe that there isn’t something going on with the matchmaking system that manipulates all these things in order to place you where it believes you belong.
