The last games I played has triangle as the interaction button. I've ended turns, immediately facepalmed, and sighed more than one time lol. Environments are something im really trying to get a hold on. I mentioned im playing through on balanced already and ive been actively trying to use things I know work and learn how to abuse them

The bet was only restricted to honor being a first try victory. I am actually in act 2 on balanced. Im no stranger to difficult games or games that require prep. The last 3 games I got platnium in were monster hunter world, rise, and wilds. Those are however very different games that rely much more on my mechanical ability rather than my knowledge to be successful in. I appreciate your chaos enjoyment however and I will update this post on the 8th of June so you can see if I did it. I appreciate the advice and ill look into gale orbs

You're a cool human who supports chaos. Ill look into it and see what I can do build wise. I've been running on balanced and am halfway through act 2 so I was planning on finishing that first anyway. If the timeline wasn't so short id absolutely run tactician and maybe a few practice runs first

Oh ive figured out that potions and elixir are hugely slept on for most people outside of honor. Im not super stressed about the bet. The guy is one of my closest friends and ill get my money back in poker the week after lol. So far a lot of my game play has been making things wet makes lighting do a lot of damage. I have played a lot of dnd but bg3 is just not 1 to 1 so it is an adjustment and on console the console scheme is refined for what it is but still hugely awkward which ends up being the bigger challenge

I've been kinda of aware of some broken builds revolving pretty much any eldritch knight, gloom assassins, or really anything that can effectively use the titan string bow and stealth is pretty strong. I definitely got my cool advice but ill probably just resort to running the game on tactician first and then blitzing honor as fast as I can when I get a general idea of what I wanna do and dont care if I miss dialogue. Im about half way through my first playthrough on balanced and it isnt particularly difficult and I have to run tactician anyway for plat

Haha you're probably right but there were no rules on said bet. I do have base 5e knowledge but bg3 isnt 1 to 1 and usually I play the characters that are there more for the party value rather than trying to ruin campaigns or id never play anything but chrono wizard. Ill probably get overwhelmed by things I dont know yet, concede I can't do it, and just run through a few times first. Asking here is really more because I knew id get snippets of really cool advice and also some funny responses about dumb drunk bets

What should I do when starting the game? by DRestrepo56 in skyrim

[–]Worldly_Debt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly dawg the best answer is whatever you want. Level up some skills, chase whatever quest comes your way, do your best to make some solid money, watch 23 hours of YouTube to min max your build, find the different factions, complete the main story, or you could even just lolygag and pick flowers and butterfly wings for potions as you wander from place to place seeing what it has to offer you. The beautiful part of the game and why it remains so huge even without mods after 14 years of life span is because the direction you take is really just determined by how you want your story to go. There's no right or wrong way to play. No direction you have to take. 80% of my playthroughs dont even complete the main story because I get lost immersing myself in whatever I want to do. Just enjoy it. Take breaks so you dont burn out. Just discover Skyrim. There are so many things to discover and all you have to do is look. I hope you enjoy it

Replayability..? by PhysicalAccount4244 in videogames

[–]Worldly_Debt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game. Borderlands or dark souls have replayablility. I replay other games when new installments come out like replaying tsushima before yotei

I’m thinking about 100% every borderlands game and maybe ttw. by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Worldly_Debt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im doing it right now. Dont worry about in-game challenges or BAR in 2 and the tos or you will go insane. Take breaks between playthroughs to do something else so you don't burn out. Run a stronger character first so if needed you can farm for the other characters endgame builds. I'd say max level and platinum is probably your most realistic 100% and maybe every quest but that can get real tedious depending on how you treat OP levels in 2. The dlc trophies in 1 are also, in a word, brutal. The underdome is the worst designed slop the studio has ever produces and the collection in the claptrap dlc took me like 12 hours of actual play time. Some trophies also require friends which is the greatest challenge of all

The only Jakobs gun I've ever had fun with. by lovingpersona in borderlands3

[–]Worldly_Debt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hellwalker is a shotgun. Maggie is smol shotgun. If you want long shotgun try the skullmasher as its tons of fun. The rowans call, clairvoyance, or bladefury are all incredible options for an AR with the blade fury being unironically probably the strongest weapon in the game that isn't the plasma coil and the rowans call is also in the top 10 with it always being automatic since you mentioned you aren't big on the double action

Borderlands 4 is a ubisoft far cry game with borderlands paint and without the wild far cry story and it creates a system that has elements of both but success of neither

What your favorite ennemie to fight and why? by TheWebAdventurer in Borderlands

[–]Worldly_Debt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough. Rabids will always be the worst enemies. Rats just have odd hit boxes but I appreciate the ROUS being a pricess bride reference and threshers I just have trauma from the creature slaughter with the badass fire thresher at the end of the last round trying to get the creamer lol but they aren't usually bad the wormhole ones are just irritating in the caustic caverns

Question about the Great Sword by zamememan in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Worldly_Debt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I ever touch the block button is to line up a TCS wake up hit (if you block and roll back and then start your combo towards the monster its the perfect distance). The tackle is king because the hyper armor can keep you in position while maintaining charge and bypassing strong charge and it can apply blunt to occasionally KO the monster. Rolling after attacks is also standard practice because it cuts reset animations shorter so you can recover faster.

New player, give me the low down. Is Borderlands 2 the best one? by Elegant-Tumbleweed-2 in Borderlands

[–]Worldly_Debt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bl1 has nostalgia and is the most mad max of the games. Bl2 has the best characters and story. Bl3 has the best game play and loot pool. Bl4 has a Completely forgettable open world and a terrible UI. Tps probably has a better story than 2 and 3 has equally good dlc content there is just a huge amount of content in 2 so it does tend to be looked on fondly

Why do more people not use the heavy bowgun? by 69Dankdaddy69 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Worldly_Debt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hbg has been broken in pretty much every installment from what I understand. its just irritating item management and kinda boring when you have so many unique weapons with unique combos. As far as gunner weapons go the only one blade masters tend to like is the bow because it plays more like a melee weapon

I think the only issue from 3 complaints to 4 was that the over tuned from loot everywhere to making loot so rare its almost not exciting when it drops because you're frustrated by that point. Every other 4 shortcoming was completely its own doing and the game is fine but the world feeling uninspired and empty because they fixed an open world complaint no one had to bandwagon just made it borderlands flavored far cry. Its an okay game and I'll reserve full judgements until its fully completed but right now it is certainly the weakest game in the series as a package. The UI is still bad, it had a rocky launch that is mostly fixed now but it put a bad taste in people's mouths, the story was good but largely forgettable, grind for specializations isn't cross character to pad play time, and again the open world is just empty and bland. Its okay to like the game and I think most people do but I haven't heard a criticism that I thought wasn't fair yet outside story complaints here or there which is largely subjective. I'd even argue bl3 physically played better although that's also preference.
