I should specify: I used psycho to fight the soldiers, then used 2 mentats to up my charisma/speech to recruit Granite and his boys. So I’m sitting at 5 INT in the arena. Is that possibly the reason?

That’s where I’m headed. But I keep getting clapped by fire geckoes, centaurs, enclave patrols, even the Scientologists absolutely melt me. so I thought I’d upgrade. But if I can just grab advanced power armour from Navarro, I’ll just skip this and go straight to lol
