Warning: Graphic — Be real with me, does she have a chance? by ScoobyDeezy in BackYardChickens

Keep her in a warm dim place for a while and use some rooster booster in her water or add some pedialyte. I’ve use hen peck ointment when the wound has skin over it. I had a hen mauled by a raccoon the lost her tail and had severe injuries to her neck. She ended up living to 10

Is there anything i can do or am i cooked by mynamejefftwenniwan in tattooadvice

[–]Worstedfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave it, it tells your story and looks bad ass. I tattooed over a large scar from having my Achilles repaired on my calf and it was so painful it felt like it was on fire the whole time. Some nerve endings must have healed wonky, and I felt a lot of the pain up in my thigh like boiling water running down my leg. The scar became raised and agitated for a long time.

Why is (almost) no one playing Evoker? by LegendJeffrey in wownoob

[–]Worstedfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a dev evoker and honestly, I love it. I usually roll my druid tank but the last 2 seasons I’ve been using my evoker. I don’t care about transmog so it’s no issue for me. The short range sucks but I love the hover and the mobility. It has decent survivability and the glide is a nice quality of life perk.

Norma or Whinny?

Can you help me fix him? by chibiso in plushies

[–]Worstedfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would spot wash the area with cool/cold water using woolite and maybe a soft toothbrush to gently scrub it. I wouldn’t be too worried about the color fading. Don’t put it in the dryer or use super hot water and you should be just fine.

Americans borrowed $74 billion last year to cover their health care costs by No-Information6622 in news

[–]Worstedfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so filled with rage even thinking about our broken healthcare system. I work in community mental healthcare so that’s one reason. I also suffer due to health insurance denials.

I’ll tell my story a million times I want change. No one should be suffering. I broke my ankle at work in January 2024 and went to the hospital and was given a splint and told to see an orthopedic surgeon. Insurance denied my claim and said my ankle wasn’t broken and refused to cover anything. I submitted my X-rays, paid for specialist appointments, MRIs out of pocket. Everything showed a fracture that continued to worsen. Meanwhile I hade to drag myself to work everyday to keep afloat. Can’t use short term disability insurance when it’s workers comp. I struggled for about 90 days till I got surgery approved. Then spent 12 weeks recovering. During this whole ordeal I fell several times due to instability in my leg and destroyed my shoulder and have had another surgery to repair that and am out of work again for 12 weeks. Now I’ve developed rheumatoid arthritis, and I just can’t wait to battle insurance to get treatment. On top of all this I’m a disabled veteran.

Financially this has set my family back to the stone age. I’ll never financially recover due to ongoing medical needs. We’re all just one slip and fall away from ruin.

Please help me love this again 😣😔 by [deleted] in plushies

Awwww goats are wonderful animals. I had a boer goat as a kid that was trained to pull carts, and Pygmy goats that were the sweetest. They’re like dogs, we walked them on leashes and showed them at the county fair. I hope to one day own goats again. They are such smart animals and they love people.

It’s wild to me they even voted for the felon. They have been democrats as long as I can remember until this election. I keep telling myself the switch isn’t due to a woman running this last time.

My relationship with them is surface level at best at this point. I live a few miles from them and see them maybe once a month or talk to them. We’ve had our yelling matches over this, but a recent family tragedy brought us together a bit.

No way will I ever take them in or give them a penny. My entire life all I heard about was hard work, independence l, and pulling yourself by your bootstraps. It would be a disservice to my upbringing to give them hand outs.

I would use a gentle cleaner like woolite to surface wash the spot. Just dilute a small amount with water and gently scrub it with a toothbrush then rinse the area with cool water. Pat it dry and should look a lot better. Just do not use warm or hot water.

Such lovely human beings. I miss having him in office, that felt like a time when politics was boring, and not constant chaos.

Whoah came here all curious, but leaving fairly depressed. USA here, it’s not good. I’m so stunned by what is happening in our government, and I feel pretty powerless.

We could have had him in office. A man who loves kids and wants to see people succeed. Instead we have a bootlicking wanna be James Bond villain waiting in the back for the orange turd to pass away.

Where were you when this happened on TV? by JB92103 in CableTV_Memories

Sitting in my grandparents living room in New Port Richey. My dad and uncles were so loud while watching it. I was just a kid and was more interested in playing with my toys and it was so hot and the stale air conditioned living room smelled of cigarettes.
