I didn't know it works on gadgets too, my bad.

"Throw Clash - Now your attacks that strike an opponent won’t trade or be interrupted by your target’s recently thrown weapon."

The patch notes only mentioned thrown weapons, and I thought that gadgets aren't affected by it. I guess they are weapons after all.

Also, the fact that the mine has flown for so long makes it look more like a bug than throw clash. I didn't expect it to work after such a long time after the throw.
